Where is the best place to sit in cafe Mickey?

I have read alot of people saying not to sit in the conservatory area.

Can you refuse to sit there if that is the table they take you to?

I did refuse the one time I was taken to a table in the conservatory. The reason I refused the table was because it was right next to the door, and kind of tucked behind it - so there was no way any character could easily get to us. I politely told the CM I'd like another table, and we were immediately taken to a table in the main seating area downstairs.

We have been there 3 times now - first time main downstairs area, second time conservatory and 3rd time upstairs. If they show me to the conservatory next Saturday night I will be looking to be moved - we did not have a good experience there at all, we were cold, the food wasn't good and the characters kept getting called away to do birthdays.

Best place for us was upstairs - we were the first people to be seated upstairs and had the table in the corner by the window - we had characters to ourselves for a while and some of the best interaction ever (DS hid under the chair when mickey came over and mickey got down on the floor trying to get him out!). I think because we were in the corner there was no- one going back and forward past us and we got to enjoy our food and the character interaction when they came over.
