Any ideas on where the best place to sell a gold and diamond ring would be? Thank you in advance for your help:)

I once sold a ring at an Estate Place (that mostly sold jewelry). A friend of mine sold her engagement ring at a Jewelry Exchange place. She got very little for it even though it was almost 2 carats. I did not get much either. Wasn't a diamond ring though.

I had a bridal set from my "previous life" that I finally decided to get rid of. I took it to a gold place and they didn't even want the diamonds because the main one was a marquise cut, and no one is buying those these days. They took the diamonds out of the ring and I sold the gold for scrap. I took the diamonds to a jeweler and they didn't want them either.

I suggest taking it to various local jewelers in your area. Most buy pieces, even if they don't advertise that they are buying. They usually have better prices than the national gold places or the places that set up in hotels and such. Scrap gold prices are pretty good right now. If you have any other gold pieces you're thinking of getting rid of, put them all together. They should be able to give you a price on the spot and then just choose the highest paying place. Diamonds can be tricky. Unless it's a very high quality, large solitaire stone, you won't get much for it, unfortunately.
