Best place to see the Halloween Parade

Last year was our first time at MNSSHP. We loved it and are going back this year, too.

The only thing we were a little dissapointed with was the parade. We stood infront of where you get on The Liberty Belle boat ride. It was so dark there, that we could hardly see anything.

Can anyone suggest some good viewing spots for the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade?

Anywhere on Main Street it great beacuse they have the Lights on top of the buildings... But for the sole purpose of the Headless Horseman I would say further down on Main Street like by the Ice Cream Shop, so you can see him coming. He goes by so fast, that is a great place because you can see him long before he gets to you (and still have the lights from the store roofs to illuminate the parade.

We sat on Main Street just past Casey's Hotdogs (going towards the castle)-- and we did have a great view. It is however, much more crowded. And if you want first or second row viewing/seating you may have to arrive 60+ minutes early. Now we went on Halloween- which was sold out-- and this probably affected the crowds too.

Go to the second parade and you will not have any problem getting a spot. Much like Spectro Magic the first viewing is packed the second viewing is empty. A lot of people watch the parade and then the fireworks and then they leave (just like during regular park hours). Plan to play through the first parade, watch the fireworks and then find a seat for the second parade :)

When we went last year we sat at the circle area near the castle. The headless horseman and the parade go around the circle. It made it easier to view then to sit straight on main street b/c the circle curves and made it more viewable then having people lean forward and then you can't see. SO sitting there helped that.

We had a great view of the Headless Horseman by standing right past the bridge from the hub into Liberty Square. Not only was it an appropriate time period atmosphere for him, but he also stops right at the bridge for a few seconds before he charges by, great for pictures!

Last year we sat right at the circle facing the castle and it was the most amazing experience. Of course everything is so well lit up, and we saw the headless horseman ride on by. The parade was so cool and the pics came out great especially with the castle in the background. Afterwards, as the night was winding down, my kids danced around with many of the characters that were in front of the castle, and had a blast!

Will Oct. 3 have 2 parades? and if so... what time will they be and what else is not to be missed?:wave2:

The parades are usually 8 and 10pm with fireworks at 9... but check the times sheet when you arrive at the event (they will do 2 parades, but they times may be different).

We also thought the the second viewing would be empty last time we went to MNSSHP. We waited until a few minutes before the second parade to find a spot. The crowds were such that we couldn't walk and we ended up finding a spot on the walkway to Tomorrow land but it was really far away. We couldn't see all that much. My advice is go at least 30 min early, even for the second parade.
