Thanks!

If you have sam's club Alamo is running a 182.00 per week rate. There is also a 20.00 coupon that is applicable to the convertable.
I have mine booked for 8 days with this code and coupon and the final bottom line is 241.89. I think that is an awesome rate and they feature Sebrings.

BJ's has the same rate but only a 10.00 coupon.

Gail, How many passengers does a Sebring hold? We're looking for something for five people.

We had a sebring last July and it did fit 5 people, 4 teenage girls and one mom, but not much room for luggage. this was a surprise so we also had a mini van which took all 6- 29in suitcases, 7- 21in suitcases and about 10 carryons. Teenage girls are horrible packers, but then we were there for two weeks!!!

Alamo's site says 4 people and very little luggage. There will be three of us and, knowing my daughter, a lot of luggage. We figure for the rate, if we have to make two trips, so be it. :)

Thanks Gail, I do have a Sam's Club membership! Do you know where I can get the coupon??

Gail--Just have your daughter take Mears with her luggage. Won't cost much more than the R/T tolls and gas for the extra trip.

Just use smaller suitcases. You should be able to put 1 or 2 in the trunk and stack at least 2 in extra seat in the back. Dee and your daughter will each have a case or 2 on their lap. The problem is the big cases that won't even fit in the trunk.

You've done it enough. This post is really for other people who are trying to squeeze luggage in a smaller car.:D

Warning! There is little to no luggage space on most convertibles. I have a Saab convertible. I can get my 26" luggage and my computer bag in there but it is tight. Sebring might be little bigger, but not dramatically so....

Actually if you use duffle bags you might be better off. Stuffing is a good option! LOL!

Yes, on Sam's club website. Or, at the store.

Carol, tell me about it. I have a Miata!!!! BUT, you would be amazed at what I can fit in it. LOL

The Sebrings have a decent sized trunk, but, I am sure there will be some luggage in the back seat, floor, and deck. :)

Hey Chip N Dale,
It's my dream car too, but.. have you seen the new models. WOW! However, since my 2002 only has 40,000 miles I think I will keep it. LOL!

I do love the car and it is extremely safe for a convertible. (I should know, I was sitting still in traffic when a woman rear ended me at 65 MPH, I walked away without a scratch, that car was totaled and the woman who totaled it taken to the hospital in a strecher. I am NOT 100% sure that she collapesed from the accident or the knowledge that she had totaled at least two cars and had no insurance!)

And actually you can transport ANYTHING in a convertible. Just put the top down and dump it in the back seat LOL!
