Hello Everyone,

We are planning a Saturday through Friday trip in September and will be staying offsite. Other than the disney website, is there another place where I can buy our tickets to the parks for less? Do you have any experience with our companies or discounts?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thank you!:)

Hi there! If you have at least one child traveling with you, check out the Disney Youth Education Series (Y.E.S.) program, which offers a variety of 3-hour(ish) classes for kids. There's a thread here on the budget boards which explains the ins and outs of the program. I signed my kids up 2 summers ago for a class, and my entire family was able to purchase park hopper tix at a huge discount. At first, I figured my kids might not like the idea of taking a class during their vacation. But I sold it as a cool behind-the-scenes Disney experience, and they ended up liking the class enough that they asked to do another on our upcoming July trip. It really is a great deal!

If the YES program doesn't work for you, check out Undercover Tourist. You won't save a lot compared to Disney's prices, but you might save $10-30 per ticket. UT's prices include tax and shipping, while the prices on the Disney website don't include 6.5% tax until checkout (you still have to pay tax with Disney, but it is not quoted until the end).

Mousesavers.com sends out a newsletter the 15th of each month that has a link to Undercover Tourist. Buying through that link will save you a few more dollars, but you need to sign up for the newsletter today to get it by tomorrow. The link is in the newsletter every month, though, not just tomorrow's newsletter.

Ticket prices historically have gone up in early August, but they went up in June last year. UT will continue selling tickets at the old price until they run out of them, but I'd watch the boards for a price increase so you can buy them at the old price.

Another glowing recommendation for Undercover Tourist!!!

We've purchased tickets from them for our last five trips and have been very very pleased. I love that the listed price includes any taxes and fees. No surprises at the end. You get the exact same tickets that you would get from Disney, not vouchers or something you have to do anything with before you can use it at the parks. UT ships very quickly, and your tickets come to you in a plain envelope with a return address that doesn't make it obvious that you have a fortune in tickets in your mailbox. Your tickets will be attached to a paper and sealed in plastic so that you can verify that you have the correct tickets and exchange them if something is wrong. UT's customer service has been absolutely second to none, in my experience.

I highly recommend them! Enjoy your trip!!!

Yup, have to give a nod to UT as well. Before learning about the YES program, I did purchase tickets for one trip from UT, and the service was exemplary.

If you can't find a YES program to coincide with your trip dates, I say check out UT for tickets. :thumbsup2

Thanks OP for this thread!

I've only ever purchased 'packages' through Disney, but now that we're DVC owners (:cool1:), i'm trying to explore options since i'm not stuck with buying through Disney.

Glad to hear such great reviews about UT.
