Best place to buy nylons/pantyhose

Ok ladies, I need your help! I just started my first job where I actually have to look nice (opposed to wearing flip flops for lifeguarding ) and I'm appalled at how expensive it is to buy nylons! I really need them for when I wear skirts, and wanted to get some input on the best places (online or in-store) to buy cheaper nylons. Thanks!

Wamart is always a good option. They carry the usual brands (Eggs, No Nonesence, etc) I think they are from about $2 to $4. Good luck with the new job!

The Walgreen's ones are actually good. They are fairly cheap too. Check the clearance end cap. I stock up on them when I can find them on clearance. I know the Wags I was at last night had a bunch on clearance for around a $1.

They are like $7 or $8 a pair, but I love Dillard's. They are very durable.

Here are some places you should look at to buy your nylons. I wear nylons several times per week for work and would recommend the following:

Websites for nylons
Ebay - they have a ton of nylons, many name brands, and usually at really good prices
One Hanes Place - the best place to buy Hanes nylons. I love their nylons and wear them a lot, and the prices cannot be beat
Bare Necessities - offer a lot of brands of nylons - and a lot of Berkshire nylons, which I also like a lot

Stores for nylons
JC Penney - I've worn the store brand of nylons and don't mind them at all. On sale, you can get some bargains
Sears - ditto for their nylons
Kohls - they don't carry as many nylons as big department stores but usually have good sales
Stein Mart - if you have one these you can get some good deals

I find that my nylons run/or wear out too fast. I love to buy the leggs tights from walgreen/cvs. They are about 6 bucks a pair and last through many washes and I throw them in the machine and even dry them. they are very tight which i prefer to suck ya in! They have the nylons feel but not as see through which is fine cuz i wear black skirts for my job and a suit coat.

In the winter I would stick to tights. They last so much longer. If you are constantly running your pantyhose/tights then you probably aren't wearing the right size. Don't be vain about size. If you are on the border of the size chart then buy up a size.

I don't wear nylons much but I get them in a 6 pack at the Leggs Hanes Bali outlet store.

Also invest in a lingerie bag for the wash.

Bare Necessities - offer a lot of brands of nylons -

I'll second Bare Necessities and recommend the Calvin Klein and/or DKNY brands. Yes, they're a pricey initial investment, but never in my life have I had pantyhose last as long as these do, AND their skin tones actually resemble real skin tones, not that wacky, orange-y "nude" so many manufacturers come up with. I have a CK pair now that's easily 8 years old and still look new! I wear them pretty regularly and take decent care of them: I machine wash on Delicate, in a mesh lingerie bag, and then hang dry.

Are you required to wear pantyhose? A recent trend in office dress code policies do not require them anymore. Our dress code changed about 5 years ago and they are no longer required. Just a thought, maybe they wont be needed.

Hardly anyone wears pantyhose anymore. If you must keep your legs covered, I'd go with tights. Or slacks.

Hmmm, they're not required here in FL, and I go bare in summer, but it's a little chilly for that by now. But not chilly enough for thick tights, either. Most everyone here wears pantyhose.
