Best place to buy hoppers - am I missing something?

Can anyone tell me if I'm missing something here? I can buy 2 5 day hoppers from Disney for $807 or from Undercover Tourist for $645. Is there an advantage that I don't know buying them from Disney? Can I make Fastpass reservations with the tix from UT? Something to do with the magic bands? Sorry I am a newbie here planning my first trip in 12 years, so I feel like I know nothing. I want to purchase park tickets ASAP to avoid pricing going up, and to schedule fastpass as soon as I can (which I also don't know, lol) We are going October 23-28, staying at BWV on rented points. Is there somewhere cheaper to purchase? Thanks for any help!

Guests staying at a WDW resort can book FP+ for their entire stay starting as early as 60 days before their check-in date.

There are several other places to buy discounted WDW tickets.

A 5-day Hopper from Disney costs $403.64, including tax.

(Please, can we just compare costs of ONE ticket?
It makes no sense to try to decipher what 2 tickets cost or what 7 tickets cost.
Just list what one ticket costs, then afterward, you can multiply by the number of tickets that you need.)

MagicBands have nothing to do with the tickets - you'll get MB's if you stay on site; if you don't stay on site, you can purchase them ahead of time or in the parks. You get the same FP+ benefits no matter where you purchase tickets (as long as it's a reliable seller, not Craigslist or something) - 60 days for onsite guests, 30 days for offsite.

I remember how you are feeling. We went last July after not going for 10 years. I felt like I learned something new literally every day but the good news is by the time the trip came around I felt pretty knowledgeable and we had a fantastic time!

Undercover Tourist is very reputable and yes, you will be able to make FP reservations with them once your window opens (60 days on site, 30 days off site).

IIRC, Disney prices theirs with tax and UT prices theirs without tax, so the cost will go up when you go to check-out. Sometimes it still ends up being a few dollars cheaper than Disney, though.

The last 5 or 6 times I have purchased from UT, the price you saw online was the price you paid. All taxes are included in their displayed prices. Either something has changed recently, or this is incorrect info.

The last 5 or 6 times I have purchased from UT, the price you saw online was the price you paid. All taxes are included in their displayed prices. Either something has changed recently, or this is incorrect info.

Like I said "IIRC" - if I recall correctly. Left admitted room for error. We used UT for our tickets on our last trip, but I also priced them through our employee rewards site at my then-job. That may have been what didn't include taxes up front. I know one of the three sources I checked didn't.

Also, OP, depending on their stock, sometimes UT will have the current prices available for a few days after Disney increases their prices.

I think you're looking at different ticket options. The fifth day is only worth $10.65. The discount at UT doesn't make up that entire different. And, as Robo mentioned, it's much easier to compare when talking about a single ticket. If I'm doing the math right, you're seeing a $70 discount at UT. That's just not right. Your UT tickets must be "base" tickets, not hoppers.

Be sure to use the UT link in the Mousesaver's newsletter for the most savings. It's only a little bit less though. Also, if you need them really quick, the etickets are great. They are pretty much immediate, save a day at the most. Sometimes UT requests additional info for online ticket purchases, but they have never asked me. The only drawback is that they are not refundable; however, plastic card tickets are also not refundable once you link them to your My Disney Experience account, which you will need to do to select your FP+.

I'm not sure why you are so insistent about this. Please don't worry about how other people are discussing things. I will discuss it in the way I think is most useful as should you. Both work. The question is about 2 tickets. It is okay to discuss it in terms of 2 tickets.
