Best Place to buy Base Tickets

Hi everyone. For the first time, I booked a room only resort reservation (20% off woo-hoo!!!!). I am wondering how it's best to buy the park tickets now?

I know we only need base tickets - but can I add them on through WDW with my room only discount?
or should I go to a 3rd party?
If going outside WDW, who do you recommend?
And can I add tickets to my magic band so I don't have to carry them around?

Any tips are GREATLY appreciated!!! Liz

Undercover Tourist is a common and highly reputable option. You can also purchase through Disney’s site as well if you wish. Tickets can be added to your MDX account where your room and MagicBand also are. Nothing is “on” a MB.

We have used Undercover Tourist, as well as Official Ticket Center. It is a toss up sometimes as to which one has the best price. Last time I looked, we needed a 7 day, and 4 10 day tickets. UT was better on the 7 day, but Official Ticket Center was better for the 10 day. I find https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/ticket-calculator# to be helpful when looking for ticket prices.

Look at Parksavers too. I've purchased tickets from both PS and UCT, and I was pleased with both transactions--value, customer service, ease of loading into MDE.

My advice is start looking at the PS and UCT sites periodically. Also keep an eye on this forum for threads about ticket deals. Thanks to seeing people post about it, I got a statement credit from American Express when I bought my ticket from Under Cover Tourist. I had to activate the offer on AmEx's site before my purchase, but it saved me $30 on top of the discount I was already getting from purchasing through PS or UCT.
