We would like to book a week at Bonnet Creek in January. I have searched many threads, but still cannot determine the best place. Prices vary so much. How can this be? Quotes from $105 a night to $180 a night. Any one have a bad experience with their reservations?

Assuming you are talking about WBC, timeshare investments vary from owner to owner. I may buy my timeshare points at 70% of the cost of yours for example. So, I can charge less and make the same margin. For example, you can find Wyndham timeshares for sale on Ebay for pennies on the dollar.

We are staying there in December for the first time, so I can't give you a personal experience yet. I can only say that Ken, Farrell, and Utopia World Vacations were all wonderful to deal with and all have good recommendations from the DISers. We ultimately booked with Utopia, and I am not uneasy at all about it.

Our rate was $102/nt for 2BR Deluxe $111/nt for 2BR Presidential if you are curious.

The cheapest rates I have seen posted here were from 5starresorts, and I haven't heard any negative reviews of them. The rates were under $600/week.

We also booked with Utopia and will be there in 2 weeks. We paid $125/night for a 3-bedroom deluxe.

There is no best place, you shop around for the best deal.

You should feel comfortable with the person you are buying from. I may have no problem booking a room on ebay from someone with no feedback for $200 a week. You may be scared to touch that deal and are willing to pay more from someone you deem "more reliable."

Overall, my experience has been you pay more for the priviledge of planning ahead and trying to book early. If you can, wait and see what develops. People who have to book flights may not have this luxury, however.

Also, don't sweat trying to get the cheapest possible deal. Just get something you are comfortable with and don't look back.
