On our second day at MK, we were planning on a sit down lunch. We plan to leave in late afternoon and go back to our hotel to swim, have a casual dinner and relax. I currently have ADR at LTT, but have read some reviews on the food allergy threads that concern me. Any other suggestions?

Not a whole lot to choose from at MK- after much review, I found LTT one of the best options! And that's from a family that's 2/3 vegetarian, so....just goes to show the limitations of good ts options at MK. What allergy restrictions are you concerened about? You may have already done this, but checking the allergy sections on the disabilities forums is often recommended here...

The allergy forum is where I read the mixed reviews. It seems like it depends on the chef at LTT. Some people had a bad experience, but some were fine. Just not sure if we should chance it. Thanks!

we, too, are a food allergy family and found the absolute best lunch of our past 8 trips was at the Plaza in MK... the CMs were outstanding! the chef came out, chatted w/ds, asked what he realllllly wanted and then found a way to make it all happen... he tracked down some nut free brownies, opened new containers of ice cream to avoid any cross-contamination, and made him the most amazing dessert of our entire trip (desserts are mostly off limits for ds)...

that being said, we have had dinner at LTT w/no problems, and an awesome young female chef (amber?) took good care of ds and kept him safe... but the service paled in comparison to the Plaza where ds was made to feel super-special instead of super-deprived...

I can't speak to the allergy issues, but we have eaten at both the Plaza and LTTavern and would go back to both. I prefer the atmosphere of the LTT, but thought the food was very good at both restaurants.

What is the Plaza? I don't think I know that one. I was also going to ask about Crystal Palace. I considered it for lunch or dinner, but since it's Pooh characters I thought my boys might think it's babyish (they will be 8 and 5 when we go).

At the end of Main Street, make a right turn; the Plaza is a small restaurant off on the right then. Here is the menu from Allears.net:

Hmmm-now I'm torn! Plaza sounds great too. The only thing I really like about eating at LTT is that we will get a "real" meal-not sandwiches. We will be doing counter service for dinner that day, so I was looking forward to a good meal. Thanks for the advice!

I really like both for lunch. I must say though, we had an excellent meal at Plaza at our last trip. Fabulous burgers (the best we had all week). This is a silly, but REAL pb&j, not uncrustables for the kids. It was a regular sandwich they cut with a mickey shaped cutter, grapes (not in a bag), etc. That said, I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

Are you looking for a TS, specifically?

If not, one of my favorite CS (from all over the park) is in MK - Columbia Harbor House. I HAVE to go there at least once every trip!

LTT is my favorite TS for lunch in the MK. Over many dining experiences I've had the pot roast, the colony salad, the angus cheeseburger and something else that I can't remember and it was all pretty darn tasty!

The Plaza was good but it is just sandwiches.

We are doing LTT for lunch this trip - DH's pick and he is psyched. We have had friends who have really liked it - and the guys (big eaters) liked that they could get a "real/larger meal."

We like to go to CP or Tony's. My son loves Pooh and friends, ask you 2 sons if they are interested. CP is a must for our son every Disney trip (he has gone to CP 5x and can't wait to go again)

IA. We've enjoyed both with no problems. LTT is my fave MK table-service restaurant.
