My 10 year old put in a request for a good seafood restaurant for our upcoming September trip. Any suggestions?

Lots of good seafood on property!
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club resort has a seafood buffet everyday for dinner. It's really good. (1 credit on the DDP)
Narcoosee's has good seafood as well as Flying Fish at the Boardwalk. (both of these are signatures (2 credit on the DDP) and will cost a bit more if paying OOP.)

Well, you will get differing opinions on this one, but especially because they are only 10, I can't imagine a better restaurant for a kid to enjoy than the Coral Reef in Epcot. It is always a highlight of all my trips to Disney and I would never miss it. I have never had a bad meal there. I order apps, cocktails, and a great fish entre and am always pleased as punch plus, most of all, the decor and atmosphere is out of this world with the massive fish tank in full view which houses large sea turtles and sharks and devil rays, ect.

I'm always surprised when I hear negative reviews of it. Maybe I am just easily pleased because I love seafood, I don't know, but the grilled octopus app plus the mahi mahi are always two of the best things I eat in Disney every vacation. I eat everywhere in Disney and very often, this meal is my favorite of the entire trip.

Just my experience, anyway.

Thanks! He specifically asked for crab legs, and it seemed like the Cape May dinner buffet is our best option for that.

I agree with other Posts (in no particular order):

1.) BlueZoo is my favorite seafood place. No other restaurant at Disney gives you a multiple choice for selecting a whole fish grilled to be served table-side. Interesting selections also include, but are not limited to, the surf'n'turf of scallop & short rib, and the 'nitro' tuna that come smoking dry-ice (or something).

2.) Narcoossee's is New Englandy'ish upscale seafood. Bonus is possible fireworks viewing. We also like the stroll through the Grand Floridian.

3.) We seem to enjoy Coral Reef more than many people. We have always enjoyed our meal of Trout w/ Beans & Greens. View within the dining room is uniquely Disney.

4.) Flying Fish just received a rave review from a popular Disney Blogger (easywdw.com). Boardwalk stroll may be more fun for a 10 y.o.

5.) Cape May Cafe - my 8 y.o. has, just recently, again ordered fried oysters for her meal. Yeah!! But if she gets an opportunity to eat from a buffet, she eats more than at any other meal. Funny, we avoid buffets, but buffets can happen - and kids who enjoy new foods enjoy buffets.

I am so glad to hear this RealBlast3 I go most of the time Solo and in all of my trips, I haven't tried Coral Reef due to mixed reviews.
I think I will defininatly give it a try next trip.

Crab isn't on the menu everyday so check prior to booking.

Cape May Cafe has Crab legs every day on their seafood buffet.

I stand corrected, the menu on display at Cape May in December had crab legs listed on Sunday and Wednesday.

One of the best by far is Narcoossee's. You're gonna pay for it but it's delicious.

Flying Fish and Bluezoo are great picks too, but they are expensive too.

Cape May Cafe for clams and crab.

A pretty good lobster roll at Colombian Harbor House in Liberty Square.

Citricos is my favorite seafood place. My wife (and I do too) enjoys Artist Point!

Yep, just came back from there - went to Cape May twice in our 10 night trip! Love that place - have never had any issues in the many years we have dined there. The food and service is excellent.

In addition to the steamed crabs and clams, boiled shrimp, they also have fried shrimp and clams on Wed. & Sun.
