Best place for my DD's 10th birthday dinner

We are heading to Universal next weekend for 5 nights and staying at Portofino. The day we fly home is my DD's 10th birthday. I would like to surprise her over the weekend with a special birthday dinner but I need suggestions as to what restaurant would be the best choice. She loves being the center of attention so any restaurant that makes a really big deal about birthdays would be great. We'll be traveling with my DH our 2 DS's, ages 5 & 8.

Also, does Universal do anything at the parks or hotel like the Birthday Button they give out at Disney? We were there for my son't 5th birthday and he got so many nice birthday wishes with his pin on, it was great.

For birthday pins swing by guest services and they will gladly give you one. When we had ours on (my wife and I are a day apart) we got lucky and got free butterbeer. Also had plenty of birthday wishes. On MIB the TM announced it was our birthdays over the PA while boarding.

As for dinner, I would say Hard Rock or Margariaville.

all birthdays are celebrated during the restaurant hours daily.
bd person gets a free sundae.

look at the citywalk website and see what the children's menus include.

have you checked out damo's food sticky?
might have some kid menus in that.

We did a nice dinner and a more casual lunch for my daughter's 11th birthday. The dinner was at Mama Della's Ristorante which was really nice. Mama came by the table and sang Happy Birthday to her and asked her for another request. If you want a nice dinner with kids, this would be the place to go. For lunch, we did HRC and they made her stand on her chair while they sang Happy Birthday to her. It was a hoot!

One other suggestion ... look for the huge birthday hats they sell in the gift shops. We bought my daughter one and it was hard not to spot that baby! Got her tons of attention and the tms reallly helped make her day special!!

We did Margaritaville for my 11yr old. They announced her birthday on Margaritaville Radio. For dinner we went to HRC and they all came over with a sundae and sang to her. She loved it.

My 17 went with friends had her birthday pin on all day and the staff made her feel special all day.
