Best place for groceries near Vero?

I'm not planning on doing too much cooking but I would like to pick up things like coffee, soda, beer, snacks. I'm not at all familiar with the Vero area. We'll be driving from Orlando. Thanks for any advice.

Publix on North Route 1 towards Sabastian. Walmart is a little further down the road if you need other things. It's not far, maybe 15 minutes from the resort. Also, the resort is much closer to Sabastian than Vero, depending on which way you are coming from, the Sabastian exit is faster than the Vero Exit.

Don't miss the fresh oj and grapefruit juice at Hales in Wabasso.

My sentiments exactly, I would go with the Publix on US 1 North going towards Sebastian as it is closer. Just exit out of the resort turning right, then hang a left onto CR 510 and right onto US 1 North. Hales is my favourite. If you want to venture the short trip into Sebastian, some great deals can be had on fast food. We just spent a week at Vero and went to Papa John's for the lunch special. 2 pieces of pizza and a pop for $2.49 plus tax, what a deal. It only runs from 11:30 to 2:30. We really enjoyed lounging around the pool and beach.
