After the wonderful responses to my questions before, I think setting up at least one good romantic date while we are out in Disney will be a great idea. What do you think would be the best place to take my hubby out for a date? What has been your most special date in Disney?

Thanks so much!

try the california grill its at the contempory on the top floor if you make PS for like 30 minutes before wishes and ask when you check in for a window seat you can watch the fireworks from there its a wonderful restaurant it is a dressy place the few times weve eatin there there really havent been that many kids that i noticed...

I would second the California Grill. We just returned Sunday from an 8 day vacation. My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at CG. We had a window seat - but not a view of the castle. However, the atmosphere was great and when Wishes came on, the told us we could take our drinks and go to the balcony to view them. (new policy - they don't turn down the lights or pipe in the music for liability issues) However, it was a great view!

Our meal was fabulous... the signature pork loin was excellent. Our server Saad could not have been better. Very attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.

I think my dh and I are weird, because when we've had a night alone at Disney, we hit the parks, and ride the rides without the kids LOL.

On our last trip we had one night w/o kids. We had dinner at CG then took the bus to MGM for EMH, rode ToT and RnR twice then walked around the park, which was basically empty because everyone else was at Fantasmic. It was like we had the park to ourselves.

I like dinner and fireworks for a romantic evening, so maybe:

Le Cellier then Illuminations
Flying Fish then Fantasmic (an evening boat ride from the BW to MGM is nice)
CG then Wishes

I also like Flying Fish for a nice dinner. We sat at the counter overlooking the kitchen. Talked to some nice people sitting next to us, watched the chefs in action and had some great food.

World Showcase is our favorite romantic spot. Just wandering about, picking a restaurant at a whim. Getting pastry and coffee in France and watching the fireworks from England.

Also, this isn't Disney, but we enjoyed last time going to Islands of Adventure and Universal Walk. We just rode the roller coasters again and again late after all the crowds had left and bought the dinner/movie package. Good deal and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This may sound a little weird but here's the thing...

My fiancee and I went to Shula's steak house in the Dolphin to celebrate our engagement.. as we saw the foot ball pictures all over this classy steakhouse, it slowly sunk in that it was Don Shula's resturaunt. If he is in to football, he will love the fact that you took him there. If you're not into football its ok too, basically as football as it gets is that the menu is printed on a football and there are some painings related to football on the walls. It's not a sportsbar. It's an honest to goodness steak house, candle lit tables, excellent champaign and wine, great food.

We gave a gift certificate to a couple that were going to WDW on their honeymoon, and they loved it! The guy was thrilled about the football and the girl loved the food and wine.

It's a tad expensive, but really nice.
