Best place at AK for cocktails/beer while waiting for ROL

We have an ROL dining package lunch in October with our fastpasses mid afternoon. We've never been to a bar at AK and would like to have a good cocktail - maybe a martini, or DH also likes a dark beer, before ROL. Any suggestions?

Nomad lounge beside Tiffins. One of the best bars on property.

Or go to Tamu Tamu for a Dole Whip with rum. Not really a bar, though.

We weren't impressed with the food at Nomad, but the drink selection is outstanding!

Nomad Lounge is probably your best bet. It's really nice. My second choice would be Dawa Bar in Harambee - those bartenders are fun and I love the music in the area. However, sometimes it's not easy to get a seat. Finally, if you want to bring a beer into the Rivers of Light show, the Thirsty River Bar & Trek Snacks, just to the left of Expedition Everest when looking at it, has some nice selections.

If all I did in DAK was enjoy an afternoon or evening on Nomad's "porch" I would be happy. It is really a nice place to relax and have a very well made cocktail.

NOMADS! NOMADS! NOMADS!!!! Unquestionably the best drink selection on property and you can't beat the ambiance. We went 3 times on our last trip

Thirsty River Bar is great too. We got a couple of drinks and popcorn and took them into the theater with us for ROL. Try the Himalayan Ghost
