Last year we stayed at AKL in WDW and they had a photopass photographer set up by the Christmas tree in the lobby. We got some amazing pictures of DD that we were able to use for our Christmas cards.

This year we'll be staying at PPH and would love to get pictures for our Christmas cards. Do they have photographers at the hotels or are there some places that I should scout out for great photo ops?

Grand Californian lobby. Not sure if photopass is there or not.

Thanks! Does anyone know if there is a fake snow mound like they have at HS near Mama Melrose?

My kids love the picture we have of them playing on that snow mound. As far as I know, unless it's been added over the last couple years, there is no snow mound like that at DL.

We've gotten a picture of DD there on both of her trips and we're hoping to do that every trip! Guess we'll just have to go back to WDW next year since they don't have a snow mound at DL. ;)

There is no snow mound at any of the 3 DLR hotels.

The Grand Californian is the only hotel that has a PhotoPass photographer with Santa (but not at any other time of day), and Santa only appears at that hotel for a couple of hours each night (sometime after 5 p.m. but before 8 p.m.).

The Paradise Pier has a gorgeous tree in the lobby as well, and Santa appears there (usually in the morning), but there is no PhotoPass person.

The Disneyland Hotel has a rather decorative, detailed Santa set-up/backdrop in their lobby, and I think Santa appears there before 5 p.m.-ish. No PhotoPass person, though - unless they have added one.

There are all kinds of great places for holiday photo ops with PhotoPass people - browse through the Christmas Superthread and you will get lots of ideas.

There is a PhotoPass person with Santa at the Reindeer Round-Up in Disneyland, and there is also a PhotoPass person outside at the Round-Up, for a sleigh photo op.

In California Adventure, Santa has a location in Paradise Pier by the Christmas tree, with a PhotoPass person.

You will find PhotoPass people in front of the Winter Castle in the daytime and at night - make sure to get a nighttime photo when the icicle lights are turned on.

There are PhotoPass people in front of the giant tree on Main Street (both sides of the tree).

There are cute toy soldier & sleigh photo ops/set-ups around It's a Small World Holiday, which you will see if you go back there, and at night, when the facade is all lit up, there is usually a PhotoPass person lurking around.

Downtown Disney had a holiday photo op last year, and I saw a PhotoPass person there at night (not in the daytime). Not sure if that photo op is there again this year.

Wow! Thanks! I don't know if I'll be able to get DD to pose with Santa twice in one year as the willingness a few days ago was something of a miracle! But I love the idea of the sleigh photo ops. We'll definitely have to lurk around the Christmas trees and Grand Californian for some photopass people.

We get great pictures at toon town madness every visit. The pics at Mickey's house are always tops from the photo pass people. Last year I took some great pictures of our oldest with santa at the reindeer village. Check at city hall for santa's schedule when you first get to the park, easy way to do it.
