Best park for Thanksgiving Day

We will be there the week of Thankgiving and I'm just curious about Thanksgiving Day crowd levels and what the most manageable park might be.
Thanks :bounce:

My family was at DW last Thanksgiving. MK was wall to wall people. MGM was the same. We spent most of the day at the POR pool. Much better than waiting 2 hours for Space Mtn. :wave2:

We went to MGM this past thanksgiving. We got there early and the park was filling up fast.

Worst crowds I've ever seen at WDW was at the MK on T-Day. Avoid at all costs!

Right now we are planning on going to AK then HDDR for dinner. I may switch that and go to TL and then HDDR.

EPCOT can handle crowds well - but plan accordingly.

FP Test Track, Soarin and Mission Space.

Go on the Behind the Seeds Tour a walking tour of the "Living with the Land" attractions. You can get a discount with AAA and AP.

Have ADR's for what ever meals you need.
Coral Reef is wonderful for lunch or dinner.
Garden Grill is great if you have little ones.
Romantic meal - LeCellier in France
Great view - Rose & Crown in England

EPCOT is the best park for Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. - There are NO DDE meal discounts on US holidays.

BUT - the Swan/Dolphin restaurants (except Shula's & Blue Zoo) do give a 20% AAA discount any day of the year, including holidays. So take the Frienship boat from EPCOT (or walk) and make an ADR at a S/D restaurant for a meal.

Definately NOT MK...they often fill to capacity this day and have a T'giving day parade :cheer2: too...we've been to both AK and Epcot on T'giving day and it wasn't TOO bad. Try to get everything you can done before actual T'giving day...that is when the parks start to get REALLY crowded, but up until then, they are not that bad that week.

(We will be there T'giving week too...again... :teeth: )

Yes, MK is crowded, but for us it's a tradition. By that day, we have already done MK on the Monday or so before, so we go on all the "must" rides.. So, TG day we just enjoy the atmosphere.. Usally later in the day.

I am curious.. i don't remember any special TG day parade at MK?? We have been 2 yrs now, and i don't remember seeing a special parade..Just the usual.

Last year we spent the day at Epcot and had a great day. We decided to have our big meal at Lunch at the Rose and Crown. A great turkey meal. This year we decidedto go to AK and then to the Poly and have dinner at Ohanas, watch the fireworks and water parade

Liberty Tree Tavern is definitely the best for a Thanksgiving Dinner.....IF YOU CAN GET IT! If not, make sure you do it around thanksgiving, anyway. We had our "day-before-thanksgiving-dinner" there, and it was not only awesome, but very fitting (moreso than The Brown Derby was the trip before!). Our Thanksgiving dinner was at the Crystal Palace. .....yes it was MK, but we spent the day between MGM and EPCOT, and then went back to MK for dinner and of course for WISHES afterwards.

....ya know, I can remember when Thanksgiving was EMPTY at WDW. back in '01, the place wasn't nearly as full as it was in '04, and it's probably packed even worse now!

The actual parade isn't any different, but they have a 'pre parade' where hgh school bands and cheerleaders and such come in an have a parade too.
