Am going to take in the Christmas parade at MK on Sat Dec 23. We plan on being in the town square area near the train station. What's the best place for a few little DDs to watch the parade from in that general area? Any idea how early we'll need to get there? Thanks.

You and 25,000 of your closest friends.

The best parade-waching spot is from the rail at the upper level of the train station. But I'd say our chances of getting a spot up there (and doing other things in MK that day) are pretty slim.

Otherwise, any spot along the street will be about as good as any other.

As for how early, that depends on how soon the other 25,000 guests start getting ready.
Could be an hour, could be three hours.
Heck, I've seen folks stake out a spot 4-5 hours before the regular Spectromagic Parade.
There are a lot of folks who want to view at that area of the park.

The best spot is any you can get that is in the front!

Good Luck or plan on camping out for a couple of hours prior to the parade.

all i can tell you is that when i was at MVMCP people were lining up main street at 6:00 for the 8:15 parade. i would gather you will see people easily getting situated 2 hrs before or even earlier

About how long does the parade last?
I am guessing about 15 min. I watched it on a bench next to the big X-mas tree on mainstreet. Got there at the last minute for the second parade.
