Best (or worst) Xmas week day.....

looking to take the kids for a one day DCA trip while visiting family in Irvine. Our choices are:

Monday 12/24 (day after arrival, might be tired)
Wednesday 12/26
Thursday 12/27

Minimal difference? Won’t be staying onsite.

We would also consider Knotts or Legoland. But if those will be just as crowded, would rather do DCA.

The 26th and 27th willbe the worst. Rose Bowl teams arrive, along with everyone involved.

Agree with the others. Go the 24th. Tired or not, that is your best option. Do your research (and you're already asking here, so good for you!), make your plans and any reservations, get MP if your kids want FP rides, tell everyone to have and keep a positive attitude, then get ready to have a great day!

Last year, Disers were posting that the days before Christmas were fairly empty compared to normal days of the year. Go on the 24th.

Yes can confirm. Although this was a while ago, I went December 20 back in 2015. I was surprised to see how light the crowds were. Considering it was a Sunday, and it was during the 60th anniversary. We got through a lot of stuff..and this was way before Maxpass.

So yeah, go Dec 24. Still be prepared for crowds, but be positive. You will have fun.

thanks.....we will think it through. i went back in july on my own and "researched" for the kids. i think they would LOVE DCA. but crowds, not so much. but, i really liked maxpass and think we can work that well. goal would be RSR, so if we can get that done, i think it will be a success. we will be on east coast time so our first morning, we will all be up anyway. anyone know if that will be an early opening for DCA? it's a monday.

I think DCA has their EMH/MM on Mondays (unless you're on site, then begin at DCA). So maybe start at DL but maxpass RSR?
