Best option when out of points?

We have borrowed our Aug 07 points for our May trip. However we would like to take another trip in August.

With no points available, what is our best option for 14 nights in a 1 bed at OKW or SSR?

Are any of the following options:

AP discount (do they still do this? Do DVC resorts qualify?)
DVC member discount for the whole stay

The rack rates are sooooo high- thank goodness for DVC. I think I was quoted $5827 for 14 nights at OKW in a 1 bed. Wow!!!!


I am a bit hesitant to rent points for such a long trip.
I suppose an off site villa would be the most economical option but last time we did that we really missed being onsite.

Any thoughts?

One option would be to borrow '08 points. With an August UY, you can borrow '08 points for stays starting after 8/1/07.

Keep in mind that UY has nothing to do with when you make the ressies -- it applies to the period of your stay.

If you have an AP use the AP discount.

I would borrow 08 points...then worry about how you will vacation in 08 when the time comes...
