My youngest will celebrate his 7th birthday when we are at WDW next August and we want to have everyone get together (4 families, 20 people) for a character meal on his birthday.

Originally, I was thinking something like Chef Mickey's, but the more I think about it, it seems like it would be easier to get everyone together for a breakfast instead - Ohana would be our choice.

To me, it seems easier to have everyone start their day at the same place rather than meet up later on when everyone has likely wandered off to different parks, back to the resort, etc.

Anyone who has ever done a meal for a large group, what was your experience? Is breakfast easier than dinner? How hard is it to get reservations for 20 people/4 families at the same time?

I've booked 10 days worth of meals for 20 people for our trip in February. It was super easy. Call when your window is open and you'll have the pick of the litter. I didn't call at a crazy hour either.

We're eating at Chef Mickey's, OHana, The Crystal Palace, Raglan Road, LeCellier, Tusker House, 50's Prime Time, and Sci-FI Dine in. I pretty much had my pick of anything though! The window is 180 days for resort guests I think? I called in the 160 day range.

As long as everyone has a time to meet it's pretty easy to do.
