Best online resource for Disney Resort reservations?

DW,DD(2 1/2),and I planning a quickie jaunt to DW weekend of Oct.26 and were looking for quickest,easiest way to book reservations to Pop Century Resort. I received direct mailing Monday that mentioned $64/night rates at the value resorts. Any suggestions or comments will be much appreciated.

I usually just call Disney directly b/c they would have a list of all the discounts. I call and usually ask about AAA, FL Res and AP all at one time. I find it a one stop shop.

I believe to receive the direct mailing price you have to call Disney CRO directly. I do not believe you can book that online. I always get better discounts - AAA, pin codes, etc. - when I call CRO as opposed to doing it online. I really only use the WDW online reservation system to get a rack rate, baseline price that I can compare my phone call quoted discount price with - want to see how much I'm saving!!

I have a room only reservation at POP for 10/2 - 10/7. With my AAA discount I got a rate of $65.60 a night. I got a card with a pin code and when I called CRO they could not beat that rate. I called several more times, just to double check if I could get a good upgrade rate. No luck until the 4th or 5th call when I had a CM put me on hold and come back and offered me POR for $111 a night !! I had to check my finances so after I started to say yes, I changed my mind and said I would think about it. When I called back to take it, guess what, there was no record of that rate being offered to me EVER. So my advice is to call several times just to make sure a better deal doesn't pop up.
