I haven’t stayed at Old Key West since 2009. I just booked a one bedroom for 8 nights in March and was curious what is the best building for view? I took my moms vacation club over when she passed and I remember she loved to stay by turtle pond so she could still have her pina coladas from the snack service and get a great lounger by the pool because it wasn’t as busy. The one thing I don’t remember was what building we stayed in. My focus on this trip is to relax, and have a wonderful view out our balcony to enjoy our morning coffee and an evening nightcap. Thank you in advance for all of the help! It will be a trip down memory lane to go back and remember all the great times our family had!

We always prefer to be close to the Hospitality House, for access to the pool more than for the view. But last time we had a great view over the golf course (I think) and one of the ponds with a fountain. We were in room 1421, building 14.

You will not get a HH area unit with a 'standard view'.
Any unit near Turtle Shack, Bldg 34, 35 42,43,44 will be good.
If steps are not a problem, request top floor for a better view.

I happen to be a big fan of Buildings 45 and 46. Sitting on the veranda with an iced tea watching the boats go back and forth is a great way to spend an afternoon.

WE like 33-36 for closeness to bus stops. Stayed in 42 once and was real convenient to the Turtle Shack.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I am planning on asking for a top floor because stairs are not a problem. I’m just excited to get back to our home resort. 😊
I did not get to reserve the hospitality house so I don’t think I can request a room there.
Any other tips for the resort is greatly appreciated!

We are usually not breakfast people but we do always eat breakfast at Olivia's at least once each trip. Nothing real fancy, just a normal breakfast which is what we like.
We eat about every chance we get at night over at Disney Springs and the boat is such a pleasure ride. Nice laid back transportation.

In the Turtle Pond area, we had a 1 BR on the upper floor of building 42 and it was nice for convenience to the pool. Surprisingly, it was very quiet-DH is a very light sleeper, so at first we were concerned.
For views, we like golf course views and the best have been Buildings 47, 18, and 15. We also enjoyed the golf course view in building 64, an elevator building.
