We are planning to visit Disney World in October of 04. We are hoping to stay at the Beach Club and know about Stormalong Bay....BC may not work out so I am wondering what other resorts have kid friendly pools? I have a Son (4) and Daughter (2.5) who will be 5 and 3.5 when we vacation...suggestions? Any insight as to what type of pool the new resort will have? (Saratoga Springs is it?)

Thanks - Steve

I don't know about all the pools but we did the B.C. last Nov. and the pool was great. Went to Wilderness Lodge in March and the pool was a little small with the most shallow part at about 3 feet. My daughter did not like it that much because she could not touch the bottom ( 4 years old). We leave for the Poly on Friday and chose that resort because it has the 0 depth entry pool which I love for kids. The Contemporary does NOT have the 0 depth entry. I hope this helps. We also chose Poly because my hubby can not come on this trip and it will be myself with our 4 1/2 year old daughter and 3 month old son. So being on the monorail will really help as well as the 0 depth entry.

CBR has multiple pools (at each area) plus a large kid-friendly one near the food court, video games, and shopping area. Also there is a poolside cabana not to be missed for your favorite drink. Worth a look.

Stormalong Bay is considered the best pool in WDW. We really liked the grotto pool at the Dolphin. There's a nice little baby pool too, and the beach between the Swan and Dolphin is fun for the kids to play on.

The Dig Site at CSR. Large pool, nice children's pool and sandy area for playing and digging. Oh....and they have the largest out door spa.

For your kids ages, I would go for Animal Kingdom Lodge. The pool is fabulous for little ones. It is zero entry and slopes in like a beach. Which I love chasing 2 toddlers. You can also see the slide from almost anywhere in the pool. (If you have an older child who will be using it as I do) Also most of it is like waist depth for adults, You can walk around almost the entire pool with a little one on your hip. Which is a big, big, plus when you are chasing an older child. I love SAB. But the AKL pool is much easier for me to keep track of the kids and they love it. They also have one of the best playgrounds located right behind the pool to the right. There is a kiddy pool, But you really don't need it because of the zero entry main pool. Good luck In your choosing!

Thanks for all the feedback. AKL sounds great as does CSR. I hope we will be able to exchange our timeshare into Disney...we have done it two times prior (OKW and BCV).

I'm not sure about off site timeshares and thier pools.

Thanks - Steve

Steve--We stayed at an off-site timeshare in Orlando. It was nice enough, but the pool was nothing special--and NOT heated! Just curious, where did you exchange your timeshare for a Disney one??

Sherri - We own as part of Hyatt Vacation Club and were able to trade through them. -Steve

My vote is for the pool at AK. It's great!!!!:sunny:

I guess the botom line is which pool would the kids love the most. Sounds like I cant go wrong with AKL or SAB....still wondering about the new resort.....time will tell - Steve
