Best offsite hotel

I have a friend that will be travelling to Orlando in May. She has stated that she does NOT want to stay at a Disney hotel. I've only stayed onsite so can't really offer any advice. She has a 7 year old son. Can you kind people please recommend a hotel that you have stayed at? Thanks in advance for your assistance!!

rent a villa it will cost about the same but will be much better!!!

does your friend want a 1st class resort - there is now both ritz-carlton and marriott jw in Orlando - plus a Hyatt Grand Cypress (been there since WDW) very close to WDW.

on the other side there are several Holiday inn, motel 6, comfort inn, quality inn, rodeway inn, etc...

what type of accomodations does she want?

if she does want to stay at Disney - why is she going to Disney? sounds like she will already hate it.

she can rent a house/condo near WDW.
