We are looking for a hotel where we would have access to a really great pool but it has to be off site from both US and Disney properties. We are trying to use some points from different hotel chains: Hilton, Marriott, Holiday Inn, etc... Thanks!

Radisson Resort Parkway has a great pool/waterfall area. The hotel is very nice to. You can get some nice rates on this hotel as well. Marriott Orlando World Center and another high priced hotel which the name escapes me (the resort has a huge/beautiful pool, its own tennis courts, horseback riding and golf course - I think its owned by Hyatt but I can't recall the name). Gaylord Palms is very nice as well.

I've never been there, but the Liki Tiki looks like fun!

If your part of the Marriott rewards program & want to use up your points, look into the Marriott Orlando World Center. The place is huge and beautiful. It has 6 pools & the largest in Orlando. Very tropical feel to it. The staff is very friendly & helpful. THe breakfast buffet is one of the best. They have package deals there also. Its a great resort and if its a great pool your looking for the MOWC has it. THe rooms are spacious and clean. The views from the balcony are amazing. You can see the Epcot fireworks from there. While we love to stay on disney property, whenever we don't this is where we stay. We stay around the pool area for hours. THey have poolside service, and seperate smoking/non smoking sections. THey also have villas right next door if your interested in that. THe villa guests also can use all the amenities from the resort. They have there own check in and are beautiful also. Large and roomy.

Thanks for all your replys. We have stayed at both the Marriott Villas and the World Center and both were beautiful! But the negative is that it is a higher catagory hotel and one night is 30,000 points and I am not really sure if I want to use 30,000 for one night!:) But I am definitly going to check out the other hotels mentioned.

I think you have to consider the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, just a little north of Downtown Disney. They advertise their main pool is 1/2 acre, which would be twice as large as the largest Disney resort pool (AKL). I've not stayed there, but I've seen it on the Travel Channel, and it does look really special -- same for the hotel itself.
