I'm headed back to Orlando next February for another trip to Universal. Yay! Originally, I was going to make this trip alone, but my very best friend has decided that she wants to come along. I'm glad to have her, but it does mean that I need to keep a much closer eye on the budget. Whereas I'm willing to pay more for a nicer room and perks, she isn't.
I already know we'll be staying off site, and I've been cringing over the reviews for some of the more low-cost hotels near the park, such as the Motel 6, Days Inn, and Orlando Continental Plaza to the South of City Walk, and the Days Inn and La Quinta East of the Portofino (where I happily stayed the last time).
Can anyone speak to any one of the budget hotels around Universal being better than the others? It's very important that it be close as we're going to walk to and from the parks, but other than that we don't need much, just a clean, quiet room to sleep in. If I can find a slightly more upscale room for a bargain, I'll take it, but I need to book something in the meantime.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
