best month to visit- Sept. or Jan.

Last year several people I know went in oct. and said it was crowded. Plus now the Wine and Food festival starts Sept. 30 and runs until nov. something. I just want to go when I can walk onto all the rides and be able to see the parks instead of the back of peoples heads.

Darn. We booked for October specifically because we had heard it was not crowded during that time (and less rainy than Sept).

I have been to Disney twice, once in Oct. and once in early Dec. Iwant to go whent it is least crowded but how do you know if there are a lot of conferences going on or something special going on at the sporting facilities? I know Disney posts some special events but not all of them. Is it really cold in Jan.?

Back in 2002 (first trip with my daughter) we went the second week of January and Disney World was kinda crowded but not too long (waits and lines).

Animal Kingdown and MGM were a bit less crowded.

The traffic (I95) was minimal and near our time share (just West of Disney) there was hardly any traffic nor crowds at local restaurants.

Sea World was not crowded at all.

In 2003 we went in June--IT TOTALLY SUCKED. 2 HOUR WAITS and traffic everywhere.

2004 we went in mid-April and it's wasn't bad at all. Lines were managable and overall a good experience.

We are going this year at the end of April (30- May 7) so I'm expecting an experience like 2004 but maybe a bit warmer or the same.

2006 we are going in January as it's just so much nicer. Yeah, the water parks won't be open but that's ok for my family.

I heard that it was more crowded in October last year due to people rescheduling their vacations because of the hurricanes. October should better this year. :flower:

We always go in the fall or spring. Summer is too hot and crowded. Winter can be cold in FL - iffy at best. But my main concern about traveling in Jan-February is the weather...snow can happen HERE at any time. I don't want to take the chance of the plane being grounded on any leg of the flight.
