Best moderately priced steak???

My son is a huge steak lover but I am not looking forward to paying the prices of a yachtsman or boathouse which I currently have an ADR for. Just wondering if there are any on site decently priced places to get a good steak. Was considering Turf Club or Boatwrights. Any advice appreciated

I haven't tried it myself but my sister had the steak when we went to Kona Cafe and said it was really great, I've heard other reports that it's a great dish too. It's served with a molasses bacon butter that even she (a very pickey eater) loved! Plus there's lava cake at Kona and it's (IMO) one of the best desserts in Disney (there's pictures of the dessert but not the steak on my blog, link in signature).
She also tried the steak at Raglan Road (it was the trip of steaks for this girl) and said it was pretty good but Kona was definitely better.

You can get a steak at almost every Disney restaurant during dinner hours. Some restaurants have better steaks than others.

I second that Kona Cafe has a really, really good steak.

I agree that you can find a passably decent steak at many, many a la carte restaurants. Just have a look at the menus at Allears The ones I've had at Kona and Mama Melrose (I know! Surprised the heck out of me, too!) are somewhat better than average.

I agree about the steaks at Kona and Mama Melrose-both very tasty. I would put Rose & Crown's (Epcot) steak in the same category-they also have the insanely delicious toffee pudding for dessert.

I had a Ribeye steak at SciFi Dine In Theatre on our trip last week. After hearing many reviews saying the food is blah but the experience awesome, I did not expect much - but it was super delicious! And more moderately priced if you are not on the dining plan.

The steak at Be Our Guest is good and is just over $30. It's a step down from the Signature options, but not horribly so and is easier on the wallet.

I have had pretty decent steaks at Whispering Canyon at the WL, and to my total surprise... Captains Grille at the YC.

Kona has a very good strip steak. Sanaa has an excellent strip steak but the butter knob atop is very spicy/strongly flavoured so next time I would ask that it be served in a cup to the side.

I also had a similar experience at Sci Fi. I had the NY Strip and it was delicious.

The Wave restaurant at the Contemporary resort is a hidden gem...its one of the best steaks on my trip, and i've tried a lot of steak in disney over the years (except Shula's). The steak is soooooo tender and flavourful. The beauty of this place is that its gorgeous inside, its walking distance from MK, and its not hard to get an ADR. I highly recommend it. we have had steak at many of the restaurants...our favorite one for not over the top price was Mama Melrose, ..it was delcious and easy to cut even with the butter knife...flavor was great...

It seems as though the steak at all the restaurants mentioned here are all the same price ($32.99). All you need to do is pick. Good luck!

FWIW, A friend of mine had the steak at Tony's in October and said it was one of the worst meals of the trip.

The Captains Grill @ The Yacht Club my meat lovin' hubby's fav!! Even I enjoy the steak there & I don't really ever order steak.
