*Best* Moderate Resort?

Another vote for CSR!

Beds are comfy (important after long day at parks). I have stayed at deluxes and CSR feels even more deluxe than some deluxes.

Very kid friendly! They showered my kids with attention and they had an amazing time...

Pool area is great! A lot of fun... Daughter loved their slide..

CBR is the only mod resort we have stayed at and love it! The Caribbean vibe, music, landscaping with all its color just makes you feel your in the Caribbean. The main pool area and kiddie pirate ship is awesome, nice gift shop, good food court. The resort is large and spread out but doesnt bother my family, actually thats one of the main reasons why we like it b/c you dont feel like there is alot of other guests. Bus system has always been good for us, maybe longest wait was 15-20 minutes. :thumbsup2

:wizard: We've stayed at CBR and then POR and loved them both....we have returned to CBR for past few years and it is our all-time favorite. We love the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and the way it's themed really makes you feel like you are in the islands. We had no problems with the transportation at CBR but did find getting back to POR at the end of the night was frustrating....POR always had the longest lines waiting for buses. We walked through POFQ and just thought it was too small for us.
In the end, I think they're all great resorts and it just depends on what you find the most appealing...for us it's CBR!

I can't find anywhere that says that CBR rooms are bigger than the other mods. I thought they were all around 314 sq ft. I'm not challenging your statement, I'm just curious. I would have thought that they would allow a 5th person there if the rooms were bigger and not POR

It's on all ears.net in the room description of CBR. quote from AE: All rooms open onto an exterior corridor, and are roughly the same layout and size (340 sq. ft). Connecting rooms are available. A small number of rooms are designed for wheelchair guests. Noise is not a problem in any of the rooms, unless you have exceptionally unruly neighbours.

I agree, it is odd that the rooms are larger, yet they are the only Mod that still hasn't got queen beds, and you'd think they'd have the option for 5th person there instead or in addition to POR AB section. :confused3

Hmm. Well, obviously everyone's tastes differ. But for ME:

1.) Coronado Springs - I just love the feel, and the restaurant has THE best servers, period. The pool is nice but a looooong ways from the main area. There definitely are some business types here, so it's not AS child-friendly I thought. I love the lobby and the rooms are nice too. It was a very different feel than when I booked it online for the first time. I was expecting to hate it, and now it's my fav.

2.) Caribbean Beach - it's very spread out, that's the only downside. Oh, and the transportation is kind of sketchy. The food court is OK, the restaurant is wonderful, and we liked the pirate pool and playground since we have younger kids. It's pretty quiet, overall. DH and I went there for our honeymoon sans kids and we still enjoyed it.

3.) PORFQ - The food court leaves something to be desired, and some of the decor is so-so. But the actual little streets you walk in between the buildings were just so pretty. And it's pretty compact.

4.) POR - We didn't stay here, just walked through. I wasn't crazy about the theming, but it was still well done. But it was LOUD - there was always construction whenever we went. We haven't tried the restaurant, either. I'm thinking one day we'll stay there and get a better opinion than just walking through, but there are a few other resorts we'd like to check off the list first.

We stayed at POR last Aug. Our building - Acadian House was finished, and we didn't hear any construction noise from other buildings during our stay. Even though they were working on parts of Magnolia Terrace during our stay, the buildings next to ours.

This will be my first time staying in a Moderate. I am so glad to hear so many positive things about POFQ. Thank you for sharing!! I am so happy with my choice!

my favorites are por and csr equally. i really liked caribbean beach too and wouldnt mind staying there again but my family and i prefer riverside and csr.

I've only stayed at CBR and POFQ (also stayed at Dixie Landings back when I was younger), and preferred POFQ. The only thing I wasn't crazy about at POFQ was the food court - not very many options, which was disappointing. But seeing how I eat most meals in the parks anyways, it wasn't a big deal. Everything else was just lovely!

I wasn't crazy about CBR - probably wouldn't stay there again if the choice was up to me.

Next time I decide to stay at a moderate I think I'll choose POR. I love the look of the grounds and theming, plus everyone seems to rave about the food court.
