I wanted to know what is the best moderate resort according to :

-transportation (during the summer my family and I went to the Corondo and the wait for the busses was endless. We wanted to go to Downtown Disney but the wait was sooooo long so we decided to take a bus ride to Epcot and then to POP and then to Downtown Disney. It sounds strange but its true. It was slow for both the pick up from the park to the resort and slow from the resort to the desired place.):hourglass

-food(I loved Pepper Market):drinking1

-atmosphere:cloud9:

-rooms:happytv:

-service:charac2:

-any other reasons:thumbsup2

Please help!
Thank You:thanks:

We really liked Coronado...we had no issues with the busses. I think if you had issues because of the time of year, that would probably have been true for other resorts. Coronado does not share with any other resort.

Read my trip report. the link is in my signature/

In my experience, the buses for DTD are slow from ALL the resorts. We have stayed there twice (and have 2 more trips planned) and the other buses were spot-on, quick, and plentiful. On our last trip, we went to MK, then took the boat to WL for lunch at WCC, then decided to go to DTD for the rest of the afternoon. We waited at least 30-45 minutes for that bus, then it back-tracked to the GF, then drove right past WL again on it's way to DTD. It took forever. Do not gauge Coronado's bus service by the bus to DTD - they are the slowest and least frequent of all the buses and it seems to be that way at all the resorts. I've sworn that in the future we will drive our own car to DTD!

We've found there to be lots of buses running at CSR - in the mornings, we've seen 2-3 buses for the same park come by within 15 minutes. The longest we ever waited was probably 15 minutes for any bus to a park.

We have stayed at both CBR and POFQ. Between those two, we like POFQ the best.

Transportation: We never had an issue with the buses at POFQ. The longest wait we had was about 15 minutes. I will say that we had teen boys with us and it was no big deal if we had to stand. I think it would be much harder if you were traveling with little ones and especially if you're carrying a stroller around. We loved the boat to DTD. That was an added bonus for us because we felt really safe letting the boys go to DTD on their own (they were 17 and 18).

Food: We were pleased with the food court at POFQ. We could get beignets and that was a little taste of home for us!!

Atmosphere: We loved the decor and the grounds...once again it was a little taste of home. The fountains and landscaping were very calming and relaxing to us.

Rooms: We thought the rooms were very comfortable. We had 2 connecting rooms so there was plenty of room to spread out. I thought the bathroom had just as much room as the one we had at the Yacht Club, it was just arranged differently.

Service: The CMs we encountered here were all very helpful. We ran into a couple who were new, but they made every effort to help us out. If they didn't know about something, they went out of their way to find out for us.

Mousekeeping was wonderful. We had more towel animals here than any Disney Resort we've stayed in. When we encountered them outside, they were always friendly and polite. We left tips every day and we always received a little thank you note in return.

On the 3rd day of our trip, DH came down with a really nasty cold and was confined to the room for a day. They brought up an air purifier and changed all the linens because we thought maybe he was allergic to something in there. They also brought him some bottles of water and a snack and offered to bring him some lunch, but we were bringing him something back. We were very impressed. Up until that point, DH had been wishing we were over at the YC (his favorite), but they really won him over at POFQ. So much that we're planning to return in January!

CSR has the best bus service, the best pool/slide and the best food options. CSR doesn't share buses like POR/POFQ and only has 4 internal stops vs 7 at CBR.

Check out my CSR website and info sheet below for pics and info.

CSR is a great resort. No shared buses, the best main pool area, terrific food and the atmosphere is AWESOME! :goodvibes
