Best mod for pre-schoolers?

What is the new code or where can i find it? I booked for our November trip with August's code but I think my pool view room still came out to over $200a night? :confused3
TIA

I think POFQ is your best bet. We just got back from there yesterday. The pluses for younger kids (mine are 4 and 6) are that it is centrally located to all the parks, is first on first off for the bus stop (which is a huge advantage), has a 10 minute boat ride to downtown disney, is a small resort so not a lot of walking to the pool or food court or just when you are tired and want to get to the room ASAP, and has a nice family pool with a tame slide.

We stayed at BWV back in April, but we need to scale back on budget for our upcoming trip. What do you think is the best mod for 3 yr olds? We will probably spend majority of time at MK and AK. But the kids love pools, so that is a big factor.

Thanks!

Close to AK, with pool as a factor ? Coronado Springs. We stayed there the first week of June 07. It was DS5's first trip to the world and we had SUCH an awesome time. The Dig Site pool is just amazing. The resort is very close to AK. AND, let me just add, that CSR is a convention resort. Consequently, the buses are often much lighter during the day, because a portion of the guests are in meetings and the like. There were more than a few occasions where we had an entire bus to ourselves. Perfect for toting the umbrella strollers to the park.

Regardless of your choice, enjoy your time with the Mouse !

I think I am going to be the odd man (woman) out here and reccomend AK over PORFQ. I have stayed at both. AKL in early DEC of 06 and PORFQ in late March of 07. For 3 year olds the pool at AKL is better. It has the area where you can walk in (what is that called? - low tide area). You can walk in like you are at the beach. This was my childs then 4's favorite area. At this time he also could not swim. The slide was also small which was good. I could stand at the bottom and catch him. You can not go down the slide with them at either resort and this should be noted. The slide at PORFQ is to big for 3 year olds. First to have them walk up those stairs alone and position themselves on the slide would be quite a task for 3 year old. God forbid they fell down them on their way up. That would be quite a tumble. And while the pool at POR FQ is darling and fun it is not the best choice for little ones. AKL pool where you walk in goes a long way before becoming to deep. This is not the case at PORFQ. When my son and I went to PORFQ my son was a month short of his 5th birthday and now a pretty good swimmer. He did love the pool at FQ however he was now a good swimmer and he could swim the entire pool even the deep area with out fear.

I also took a stroller. I did not have a problem with either resort or the buses when at both resorts. I do reccomend 2 singles over a double. Even in the crowned parks this will work out better. AT AKL we had a Savanah view so our walk was not far. The view was awesome of the animals. I did not like the food there though. The good court was good. The CM's were idiots. At POR FQ the food was good, the walk was short to the bus. The bus is the first to pick up and the first to let off before it goes to Riverside so you will get a seat in most cases. I really liked both resorts although the CM's at AKL were pissy when I was there. Our next trip will be at CSR.

I should also comment that the CM's at POR - FQ were really good when we checked in but when the weekend staff came on they were less than stellar. At POR FQ we had a broken refrigerator. They came at 1am with a new one. I have to ask myself what the %#$! were they thinking! I also UPS a package to POR FQ and they delivered it to POR. So if I wanted to pick it up I had to go to Riverside to get it or wait until the next day and be there to sign for it. So do not ship anything to yourself. If you want to bring or ship snacks, a christmas tree - whatever don't. My point in coming back and posting this is the CM's are never perfect so do not let what I am saying about them at either resort sway your decision.
