Best MK ride to watch fireworks from

We've always watched the fireworks from the Hub or Main Street so can't say for sure but what about the Tomorrowland Speedway. You are out in the open all the time as opposed to shorter periods with Splash and even with BTMRR and Dumbo you are going in different directions.

Watched them from BTMRR this past June. Its my fave MK ride but riding with fireworks was amazing! Of course, we did the HEA dessert party as well on our trip and caught the show in its entirety, so this was just extra.

Thank you for all your advice, it is only the first of 3 nights at MK, and it happens to be on Dec 30th, so movement around the park is extremely limited, plus from past experiences CM's won't let you stop anywhere near a walkway on 10+ crowd levels. We will be there for the late NYE fireworks, I don't know if there are projections with this show, but that is a good point.

Ah, Dec 30th makes a big difference! They are definitely special.

I'll confess. We did a budget trip to Orlando recently on that week. No park tickets!

On Dec 30, we hopped on WL to MK shuttle boat, and accidentally timed it perfectly! I sat on the front deck, and ended up getting a super view of the fireworks!

I should caution, the previous night we planned to see the fireworks from WL, but couldn't get back from Ft. Wilderness in time, because the Ft WL/WL shuttle bus never came! Grr! We waited 30minutes for it!

So we tried to see them from the Ft WL beach instead, but the experience was ruined, because a group of (intoxicated) folks talked very loudly through the whole show! So inconsiderate! None of the many families on the beach could hear the music. (The show's audio is softly softly via outdoor speakers.)

I just don't understand some folks.

All the "outdoors" spots on rides make it fun, but for us it is SDMT. When you ride SDMT you are feel like you are INSIDE the fireworks. I guess that's why there has been a couple times sparks caught landscaping on fire?

Hands down for us though, there is no experience like swinging around the SDMT track and having the fireworks be RIGHT THERE!

I absolutely love the Peoplemover, but the roof over top of it means you’re not getting very many unobstructed views - but if the timing is right, you’ll definitely be able to get some pretty cool views! I took this from the Peoplemover last night:

We’ve seen the fireworks from it twice - neither time planned - and it’s so much fun! We usually end up in line at that time bc the line is short and we’re not overly motivated to get a good spot way in advance for fireworks, we just see what we see from where we are. Big Thunder is a close second.

When we went last year we were in line for 7dmt when the fireworks went off because there was a 2 hour line still. I guess it just depends on the night.

This morning was my FP day, I ended up getting 7DMT at 11:20pm. It works well because we have a late dinner @ BOG 9:35pm, and staying in the area makes sense with the crowd levels. To pass the time in between (if we have any) I booked Meet Cinderella FP. Thanks for all the great advice!

I had such a DISNEY experience by riding 7DMT during (sniff...) Wishes. I didn't plan it, but it was absolutely amazing. A moment to remember!

The same thing happened to us! I was being Grumpy because we were missing Wishes to ride 7DMT and it ended up being one of our most amazing experiences ever at Disney. It felt like we were riding right through the fireworks! Magical!

We got stuck at the outside part during wishes. Didn't mind being stuck - we ended up seeing the entire show from that spot. Probably my most magical disney experience to date.
