I'm trying to think of a great dining experience in the Magic Kingdom for an upcoming trip for my boyfriend and I. We already considered the restaurants on the monorail route but I would prefer to stay in the park. The first thing my mind jumped to was Be Our Guest, naturally, but I want to consider some other options as I've eaten there before and there are plenty of sit-down restaurants/dining experiences I've never tried in MK. The bf an even bigger Disney fan than I am so character meals are definitely an option. Ideas? Preferences? Suggestions? I'm open to anything.

I'd agree Skippers is a nice option for an adults-only meal. It's quieter, generally fewer kids. The menu is a little more adventurous and now they serve alcohol. That's where I'm taking my mom in August.

Thank you. I have a reservation for Crystal Palace at this point but may change that later. However, we enjoy character meals. I couldn't see where to reserve Skipper?

It's under Jungle Navigation Co. Skipper Canteen on the Disney dining reservation site. Nuts because its known as Skippers Canteen. I agree with the PP. If you really want a nice dinner in park, this is the best of the options. BOG is loud & not at all intimate. When you check in at Skippers, ask for a table for 2 in the S.E.A. Room & politely explain you are willing to wait for 20 mins or so until one is available. You prob won't have to wait more than 10 mins. Don't get stuck in the Mess Hall. The S.E.A. Room is a big step up.
