Just wondering, in your opinion, what the best mid-priced hotel in Disney World is. Any suggestions?

I’ve only stayed at one moderate (Caribbean Beach Resort in a pirate room). I didn’t care for it. The room was tiny. Pool was nice. Didn’t care for the food options. But the busses took a long time due to all the bus stops.

I much preferred my stay at Art of Animation.

My favorite is the POFQ. Small resort with one bus stop with a boat to POR and DS. Just a few feet to pool, boat, lobby, food court, and bus stop. Tiny bathroom with exterior sinks though.

My favorite is CSR. It’s a convention hotel, so a step up from a regular moderate. However with the construction going on there and at CBR, I would pick POR. We liked this resort too! Although I often can get the Swan or Dolphin for the same price and I would pick those for the location.

Thank you all for the feedback. Let me ask this know-how about the best resort during the Christmas holidays?

I've stayed at all the moderates. I would rate them:
CSR--BY FAR!!!
POR

Huge gap

POFQ
CBR

However, I would not want to stay at CSR right now with the construction. So currently, my pick would be POR.

POR is so delightful--really. Beautiful, peaceful. Highly recommend.

FW is considered a moderate. If you are ok with being a bit more spread out, the cabins are also fantastic. During the holidays, guests decorate their campsite and the result is a super festive atmosphere but still a lot of privacy.

I stayed at CSR for a convention and really liked it. 1st moderate resort for me, so I was not sure how it would go. The buses are fantastic, the best bus service I have had at any WDW resort.

Even with the construction, I would not hesitate to stay at CSR. The pool is really good and the resort is beautiful. We are staying there for another conference in April.

I've stayed at POR and POFQ and I liked POFQ better. We loved how small the resort was and that there was only 1 bus stop. We also really enjoyed the theming at POFQ with the brick on the roads and the quaint courtyard/grassy areas. We've also stayed at AKL and even though that is Deluxe, we would easily stay at POFQ over AKL. I liked having the river at POR, but it was just too big for us. We ended up walking over to POFQ to get beignets so might as well stay there in the first place!

Love POFQ! I have stayed in several other resorts but FQ is our favorite!

Right now Coronado and Caribbean are under construction, so in my mind POR/POFQ are the only moderates worth considering. The other problem is availability is low and pricing is high. I'm hoping it has something to do with the massive destruction/construction and room remodeling. If $200+ for a moderate is the new norm then I'll just stay off-site. We're just doing Pop in the near future.

I just think Waldorf plus car would be a better option ,maybe my pricing is bad

POR - Riverside.

Honestly, all of the resorts are stunning at Christmas. Pick the theme you like the best and be prepared to feel the Christmas spirit!
