I've seen so many post about how the dining has gone way down hill in recent years and I too had noticed a decline in service and meal quality. However we went in late June and I have got to admit that we experienced the best meals and service we have ever had in disney on that trip!
I can honestly say we did not have one bad meal!! I was so impressed that I thought I would tell everyone about our meals...

June 22nd- Dinner at Boma's - though this was not my favorite of our meals the food was quite tasty and the service was great! The flavors were a little unusual for me but we all really enjoyed it!

June 23rd- Ohana's breakfast- AWESOME!! This is our second breakfast here and we will certainly return for another... We love the pog and pineapple bread!! Also that has got to be the best breakfast sausage I have ever had!

June 23rd- Dinner Le Celleir- The steaks here were cooked to perfection!
I had the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon and substituded Cream Cheese Mashed Potates instead of the risotto, though I would have loved to have a few more truffles in the herb sauce it was the best steak I've had in Disney! Dh had Herb Crusted Prime Rib and loved it, both ds and dd had the New York Strip Steak dinner and they too loved their meals. We had friends with us that raved over their meals also! AWESOME desserts and soup!!

June 24th- Dinner at Raglan Road- For me this was my least favorite meal of the trip yet it still met my expectations! I had bangers and mash here that came with a spoonful of beef stew. Next time I will just order the beef stew as a meal becauase it was delicious! DH and dd both had Crock o' Mussels and they both loved loved loved them (not my cup of tea though!). Ds had Serious Sirloin Steak and he was the only one who didnt think the meal was that great..

June 25th- Lunch- Earl of Sandwich-YUMMY! Need I say more?
Dinner- ESPN both dh and myself had Ribs and they were great!
Both ds and dd had The Angus Burger and loved them!

June 26th- Dinner-Whispering Cannon- Now I had expected this to be the worse meal of the trip because I had heard such bad reviews but the ribs were by far the best I have ever had and the pulled pork was so tender it practically melted in my mouth.. Ds thought his steak was sub par but I am getting the feeling that he might have just made the wrong food choice (seems like he kept going for the steak and might have just been tired of the beef by this point). Desserts here were awesome!

June 27th- Lunch Cantina de San Angel- We all had the Plato Combinacion and Oh My Goodness that buritto was so so good.. Next time I will just go for the wet buritto instead of the combinacion plate... YUMMY!

June 27th- Dinner-Tutto Italia- Best meal of trip! Yep I said it and it is true. I have heard mixed reviews about this place but we had a party of 8 and not one of us had a complaint.. The food was so good that we were forcing ourselves to take another bite far after we had reached maximum compacity!:rotfl2:
We had Fresh Mozzarella-Vine-ripened tomatoes, basil, and Tuscan olive oil So so good! I had the Lasagne "Al Forno", now I dont even normally like lasagne so my ordering it was unusual but the waiter told me how good it was and I have to agree!! Dd had the Penne "Caprese" and loved it! I cant find dh's or ds's meal listed on their menu but dh had some sort of beef and ds had sole.. Both said they were delicious, in fact dh said ds's fish was so good that he is going to order it next time! Dh says he has been day dreaming about this place every day (he is in Iraq right now).

We also had a few counter service lunches that we cant complain about..

All in all it was a superb dining experience!!

I wasnt real good about taking meal photo's but here are a few dessert pics from our trip!

Oh my goodness!!!!!!!!!!!
~licks screen~

I'm glad I'm not the ONLY one who likes the food at Disney. I've been the last 4 years, and yes I have eaten some yucky food. But I don't remeber what it was, except a few things I had last year. I'm one of the few on the Dis who LOVES Coral Reef and didn't really like Ohana. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, we've just eaten at places that were much better.

Glad you had fun.

Yummy! Great reviews and pics!!! Did you get the skillet at WCC?

Yes me and dh had the skillet and loved the ribs and pulled pork!
We also loved the cornbread!
Honestly the only complaint I had about that meal would be that the server wasnt into the rudeness at all... This might sound strange but we wanted them to be extremely into the part hehe

I agree on Tutto (and some of the others as well). I don't have any issues with most of the food at WDW.

Our best meals last trip in May were at Tutto Italia and Le Cellier. THe food was excellent and so was the service. Chef Mickey's was really a great Breakfast buffet! I normally do not like buffets but this one was excellent! Our favorite place to dine in the parks has to be Le Cellier, but now since we tried Tutto and loved it it is now on our list of must eats next trip.

Thanks for sharing...we never went to Tutto Italia and I'm so glad to read your review and can't wait to eat there.

OMG.......

Desert pics, I THINK I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:flower3:

Great to hear the food is not as bad as some make it out to be!!!

I KNEW IT!!!!!

That would be the Smore Cheesecake at Whispering Canyon Cafe and she ate it all so it must have been good :thumbsup2

I love the filet at Le Cellier! It's my favorite Disney meal....but also the skillet at WCC and the sushi at Kimonos (not on DDP) were amazing as well...for CS my favs are the mixed Shwarma Plate at Tangiere Cafe, Ribs at Flametree, and anything at EOS!!!

I guess I must be in the minority, too, because in the three trips I have taken to disney in the last year and a half (it had been 13 years since the last one before that), DH have not had a sit-down restaurant meal that we didn't think we really good (I'm not including some buffets...:rolleyes1 erm we did not care for the food very much at chef mickey's bfast, crystal palace dinner, and 1900 park fare dinner). I mean some of these are places that have a bad reputation (like san angel inn and garden grill) but we have really enjoyed our food at all of them. Now, there may have been other things we didn't like about the experience (like a bad waiter or waitress), but we have had nothing negative to say about the food.

All of the places we have really enjoyed have been: narcoossee's (dinner twice), citricos (food was good, service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired), grand floridian cafe (dinner - LOVE this place), CRT (breakfast and dinner), chefs de france (dinner), san angel inn (dinner), garden grill (dinner,of course), 1900 park fare (bfast), le cellier (dinner - so amazing!!!!), and room service (WL -dinner, including smores cheesecake which was so, so good and GF -dinner).

We have also tended to really like the CS meals we've had. :confused3

Perhaps we are just easy to please (heh), but I love eating on property. :)

DH and I did the DDP in early June and were a little bit leery after reading some of the comments. But we thought the food was quite good and the portions were large. The only two meals that were so-so were Ohanas and the Cape May Clam Bake. Even the counter service meals we chose had large portions and were good. The hot fudge sundae at POP, could rival most expensive sundaes. I absoultely loved having dessert at all my meals! :goodvibes Unfotuately, DH said, due to the cost, it was a one-time adventure. :confused3

Wow you got into 'Le Cellier', how do you do that? Do you reserve on-line or call day 1 of 90th day out? We have been to Disney 4 times in last 5 years and could NEVER get a ressie, and this is when they used to take them 180 days out. Someone please give me the secret to getting into 'Le Cellier'..........thanks

In my case its timing..................

I called right at the 90 day mark, asked for it AFTER the "F" package and at the end of my trip and got the time I wanted!!!!

Nice pics! Thanks for providing a new perceptive. Le Cellar is one our our favorite restaurants in Epcot. The Canadian cheese soup has us hooked!
