I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find a thread on it and have gone several pages deep into this forum.

What would be the best meal to attend at Chef Mickey's? Breakfast, lunch or dinner?? Never been there before and a friend of mine asked what I thought as they are going in November. We're going back in a year or two and may also try Chef Mickey's.

What are your thoughts?

:thumbsup2

I can only give my opinion on Breakfast, and we loved it. This is a tradition of ours since the first trip. The characters are great and the food is awesome. My kids love serving themselves and the cheese potatoes are to dye for:worship: .We tried to do dinner in March but had to cancel due to flight problems and ended up arriving in WDW 11 hours late. We are going to try again next March for dinner.

We absolutely LOVE Chef Mickey's breakfast but HATED the dinner. I would totally recommend the breakfast.

Ditto. Big time. The breakfast is a tradition of ours. The dinner...probably never again.

We have only ever had breakfast, but as OP's have said, it's a tradition of ours as well. We have a list of restaurants we make sure we eat at and breakfast at Chef Mickey's is always on it!!:thumbsup2

Although I have had not eaten there for breakfast that is the one that I would think would be good. Dinner has terrible

We've only done the breakfast and we LOVED it. IMO the buffet has a nice selection & the food was good. Chef Mickeys has a fun atmosphere and the character interaction was very good. The service has also been very good.

Thanks y'all! :) I'll let my friend (co-worker) know and I'll definitely mark down breakfast at Chef Mickey's for our next trip. We liked the ddp on our trip last summer and hopefully the deluxe ddp will still be around when we make our next run in a year or two.

We did bfast last summer and have ressies for dinner this summer. We'll be able to compare. I think if you ask the kids they will either say dinner because of the dessert/sundae bar or it won't matter; they're only there for the characters and fun. Many little kids don't eat much at those buffets way too busy having fun and being entertained.

I have done both twice. Dinner is fine, but breakfast is better.:thumbsup2 Also, FWIW, it is not open for lunch. (Except for occasionally during the free dining period.)

We had dinner there last month and it was my favorite dining experience of the week. The food was only okay but the characters were fantastic. My 9 year old son thought it was terrific - he was so sick the those tiny kids meals that we kept making him get and was excited for the buffet - dinner and dessert. It was the food highlight of his vacation.
Again, food nothing outstanding but okay. Experience was memorable.
