Best Magic Kingdom counter service?

Just wondering what everyone's favorite MK counter service is for lunch . . .

We've spent lots of time in the MK, but we mostly have mostly done either Cindy's, Crystal Palace, or Tony's for lunch.

This time, we aren't going to have as much time there, so we need a quik option. Any suggestions?

It will be me, DH, and our little guy (1 year old). We'll probably bring in some stuff for him, since he is on sort of a restricted diet, so I'm mainly worried about me and DH. Thanks!

I have two favorites at MK- Pecos Bills for hamburgers and they have a great toppings bar, and Columbia Harbor House for a nice atmosphere and a great tuna sandwich! They also have fried fish & chicken strips, clam chowder in a bread bowl, and I think a vegetarian sandwich. And a chicken salad. Pecos Bills has a good chicken salad too.

How quick of a lunch are you planning? Do you like turkey legs? You can get one at The Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland. There's a hotdog stand nearby too. My ds and I shared a bagel and a turkey leg and my SO and our dd grabbed some hotdogs and some chips.

What kind of toppings do they have on the bar at Pecos Bills?

We loved Pecos Bill's! The topping bar has the usual lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles but also has sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, cheese sauce, and I think sauerkraut. Anything I forgot?

I second the tuna sandwich at Columbia Harbor House! It is on a nice grain bread with lettuce and tomato. Yum!

We like Cosmic Rays. The kids asked for seconds on the corn dog nuggets I think my littlest DD ate more there at that meal than the rest of the whole trip combined. Cosmic Rays also has a fixins' bar. I like the cheese sauce to dip my french fries in. They also have rotisserie chicken there.

Columbia harbor house is good too if you want something different. DH got the salad with grilled chicken and really liked it. I got the fish and chicken plank combo. It was good too.

I agree with Maggie. We love Cosmic Ray's rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes and the kids corndog nuggets and fries are good too.

Columbia Harbor House has a good clam chowder in a bread bowl.

Unfortunately, although the chowder is still served, it no longer comes in the bread bowl. Just a plastic bowl and some oyster crackers. Still $5 though :-(

Generally, we avoid counter service when possible, but at MK we do like Columbia Harbor House . It's our favorite counter service restaurant at WDW...maybe the only one we can actually call out by name.

Like others I really enjoy the columbia harbor house. But, casey's for hot dogs are pretty good.

Our family generally eats at FF at MK. Our fav is Peco's Bills also. I had a cold wrap sandwhich I thought was pretty good and filled me up. My next stop would be El Piratas near PoTC ride. A very good taco salad. But they are open at peak times it seems. We have saved a lot of money the last couple of trips by getting just one of the meals with fries. I think they knock off a $1.50 when you order without the fries. Cosmic Ray's gives you a lot of choices, but I think the quality is pretty low there. Also, Sunny Eclipse area is too loud for us. Our kids are 13 and 11 now, Sunny doesn't hold them captivated like the old days.

I really like Cosmic Rays, not because the food is that great but because there is PLENTY of inside seating. Once we got hotdogs from the hotdog stand right outside of SM and three birds stole them right out of my fiance's hands. At Cosmic Rays I know we wont be pestered by birds.

We also like cosmic rays for fries and snacks....they have cheese on the fixin bar to dip your fries in..
