Best lunch at AK?

We always eat at Tusker House. It is not the general run of mill counter service. We love the turkey wrap.

I like the BBQ chicken salad at Tusker House! I prefer eating something lighter, especially when its hot out I also tried some of the ribs which my boyfriend ordered, I thought those were great too!

Make sure you get the meal vouchers! It's a great deal ... for $12 adults (I think), you get a coupon for an entree with a drink, a coupon for an ice cream or popcorn and another coupon for a bottle of water/pop.

We enjoyed Flame Tree Barbeque. The pork sandwich and baked beans were good, and the seating down by the lake was so nice. It was quiet and peaceful. I do want to try Tusker House next time though.

Rainforest Cafe... it's one of our favorite stops!!! The chicken quesadillas are out of this world!!!!

We tend to eat earlier with my little ones so it was probably between 11:30 and 12:00. Also, we were there at the beginning of May so the park wasn't as crowded as it would be during peak season. However, their seating is divided into sections, and the place where we sat, probably had no more than 15 tables. We turned right and meandered down until I saw water.

I'm also a big fan of the Tusker House. The seating by Flametree during busy times is always so busy during peak season. I like the salmon, the rotisserie chicken not to mention the turkey wrap with corn chowder. My DD loves the chicken sandwich.

I'm fairly confident that you get the vouchers at the entrance where you would buy passes.

We've eaten at both Rainforest and Tusker House, Tusker wins by a nose in my opinion. The food is a little better and I like being in the middle of the park, instead of at the front of it.

Tusker also has a really good breakfast selection. Our plan is to normally hustle to the Kil Safari when the park first opens and then hit Tusker for breakfast.

I had been planning on doing the Rainforest Cafe, but looks like the Meal Plus with FlameTree BBQ is much more accommodating to the pocketbook. We'll swing by RC on the way out for dessert instead, and maybe use the coupons for popcorn.

Another vote for Tusker House! Dh and I eat lunch there on the Meal Plus deal- and the best part is you can get the 1/2 rotessiere chicken plus mashed potatoes and gravy, and mixed veggies and a large drink- which is plenty for us to share! You can't beat $12 for lunch and a snack for 2! So, Tusker is great, don't be afraid to share meals either!

Hands down, it's Tusker House. I had the rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes & green beans on my last trip and it was excellent. This is a must-dine for me at AK.

If you like asian cuisine go to chakranadi chicken . They do delicious stir fries - a healthier option but very tasty, cheap and filling. This was our prize discovery at AKL this year
