I finally got a reservation at the Poly for the begining of Dec. Any suggestions for buildings. I booked garden view. thanks:sunny:

IMHO...

We always request...and have got the Samoa building when we stay at the Poly GV. We ask for the ground floor looking at the Volcano Pool.'

Close to the GCH, to the right the view is GF and the Mk.

We love this view!

Just like Life Long Fan, we always request that same location. Ground floor. Last three times, we've been placed in 1609 and it is absolutely perfect. From your patio you have to take just about three steps and you have a view of the Castle. Another 10 steps and you are in the pool. It's extremely nice being able to watch the Electric Water Parade and be back in your room in 30 seconds.

It depends on what you want. We like the larger rooms (Tahiti, Rapa Nui and Tokelau). All of them are near the TTC. The Tahiti is my favorite b/c it has beautiful garden views (NO parking lot) and the best Lagoon views.

We stayed in Tokelau 3rd floor. We were on the lagoon end of the building. It was like getting LV for GV prices! You could see the GF, CR and if there wasn't a palm tree in the way we would have been able to see the castle. No biggie, there was a viewing area two doors down from our room that you could see the castle.

It wasn't far from the GCH and the volcano pool. Right outside was the quiet pool and it wasn't that far of a walk to TTC.

Best location in my opinion, but we've only been there the one time, so I don't have anything to compare it to...ha!

Have fun, you'll love it!

I'll give another vote for Tokelau. We were also in a room at the lagoon end of the building, and wound up in one of the garden view rooms that has a somewhat obstructed view of the lagoon--we could see the GF from our room. The rooms were big--there were three adults and two pre-teens in the room, and we never felt crowded (except for in the bed I shared with my niece--my niece rolled closer and closer to me so much it felt like the incredible shrinking bed).

It's steps to the beach and the quiet pool. Just a few minutes to the Volcano pool and the GCH. And maybe seven minutes to the T&TC.

My other sister stayed there the week after us, and she agreed that Tokelau was an ideal location.

We also stayed in a third floor room in Tokelau and thought it was perfectly located. In the center of the GCH and a short walk to the TTC. We had a great view of the quiet pool. The volcano pool can get quite noisy, so if you are looking for a little more peace and quiet or if you don't have kids, Tokelau is a great location.

Fiji IMHO is a great building ! On one side is the Cove and on the other is the marina. Close walk to the GCH and close to the pool.

And yet another vote for Tokelau!!! We were on the 2nd floor, kitty-corner to TLinden (Hi Karen!!!) It was a terrific spot...close to the quiet pool, a 3 minute walk to the Main Ceremonial House and monorail area, and the Volcano Pool. And a nice walk via the path to TTC. Tahiti would get my vote for second place. It's just a bit more remote, but lovely!!! When you make your request, if you ask for Tokelau, ask for a room on the lagoon end vs. the quiet pool end. You get a better shot at a lagoon view that way, and pay garden view prices!!
