Best location to view nightime parade and fireworks?

I am looking for suggestions on the best place to stand to get a good view of the parade and then the fireworks show (if this is possible). How early should I claim my space? Thanks

How early will depend on how many people. If you're alone you can squeeze in somewhere an hour before and not have to stand too long to wait. I watched it from the far end of Main St. Once the parade ends everyone can go into the street and if you move quickly you can be mid-Main St to see both the castle and the buildings on Main St. I haven't done the hub for the parade or Matterhorn view for the fireworks yet, so can't advise. If you have 2 or more people who want to see the parade together then I'd advise to stake a spot earlier.

I agree that it depends a lot on how many people are in your group and where you want to view the shows. If you can, I would strongly consider viewing fireworks first and then waiting for the second parade. Guests are arriving for the first parade hours in advance to secure a good viewing spot, so if you wait until the last minute you may find yourself out of luck.
