Best location?...standard room at Pop Century

How close is it to the food court/buses. Yes we want the best of both worlds, to see the fireworks and have the shortest walk possible! We stayed in the 90's last year and the walk was THE WORST! :goodvibes
Surprising that couple of hundred yard walk was the worst [walk that you experienced?], because it's shorter than the walk from bag check to any attraction in any park :confused3

can any one remember room numbers for the lake view rooms? We stayed there in October and loved it but have nothing with our room number on it and can't remember thanks for the help. 97 days until we go:banana:
Room numbers are pointless, although there's either a chart or a link in the dedicated Pop Century thread. If you're planning to request something, just request "Building x, # floor, facing the lake" or whatever order is important to you.

Hi, Bangzoom. :wave2: Hope all is well with you and yours. :)

We've stayed in standard rooms at Pop 3 times. Each time I requested a specific area and each time, my request was honored. I always ask for lake view. I like it best for a few reasons. I find bodies of water beautiful and soothing to be near. It's quieter than pool view, and all lake view rooms are also standard.

First trip, we were in Building 4, 4th floor, facing the lake, Play Doh can elevator. This was my favorite of the 3 areas where we stayed. There's a good view of Wishes and Illuminations from your balcony. You can see the tops of the Swan and Dolphin, Tower of Terror, and Spaceship Earth in Epcot. This location was central to everything and conveniently close to the food court, bus stop, Hippy Dippy pool, and Petals. You will love Petals. :)

Next trip, we were in Building 2, 4th floor, facing the lake, Jukebox elevator. We found the walk to the main building a bit far, but this area had the best views. Illuminations and Spaceship Earth seem closer than from Building 4 plus you can see a lot of the tall buildings in the area. I preferred Building 4 for the walking convenience, though.

Last trip, we were in Building 6 (I think), 4th floor, facing the lake, Mickey Phone elevator. No view of fireworks here, but the lake was lovely and so was the view of the other buildings in Pop. This location seemed closest to the bus stop.

We really like Pop, and I'm considering it for a trip we may take in October. I'm waiting on a Free Dining offer for the dates we want, and if I get a PIN or there's a general public offer, I will book it, Or a moderate--have to price out both and decide. :)

I've been in 50's, floor 2, facing the parking lot. View didn't matter to me as we were only in the room to sleep. It was a nice short walk from my car to my room, and it really only took a few minutes to walk to the main area. I highly recommend.

My 1st Pop stay w/ DH last year we stayed in the 50s standard section on 1st floor & it was in a courtyard area, not too far from bowling pin pool, but I didn't really care for the area. Last month I went with my aunt & we had 1st floor standard room in 60s area (4101) which was facing the lake but trees/shrubbery in front. I really liked this location, you walked behind giant play dough to get to it, very close to hippy dippy pool & the toddler splash area, very short walk to main building. I'd want to stay there again! :thumbsup2

from your balcony

Just to be clear - for people reading this thread who may not be completely aware - there's no balcony. There's a shared walkway surrounding each level of each building at Pop Century. All the room doors open out onto it, all the room windows face it, and lots of your fellow guests will be using it to get to and from their rooms.
