I know that this has been asked before, but I need input. I am going to WDW in 2 weeks :Pinkbounc and staying at Caribbean Beach for the first time. I want to call and make a request for a specific location, but I'm not sure what the best ones are. I want to be reasonably close to Old Port Royale in a quiet location without having to pay extra for the "preferred location". What does everyone suggest?

This will be my first time there in October and from what I have read, Martinique and Trinidad North are the Preferred Buildings, and alot of people like Jamaica and Aruba which is right across the lake (about 5 minute walk to Old Port Royale)... SafetyMom has a ton of information on CBR. Look her up!

Hope you have a great vacation and enjoy your stay there! :wave2:

We stayed in Jamica during our Nov. 2003 trip and it was great. Regardless of the building it was only about a 5 minute walk with the kids (at that time DD7 and DS5) to Old Port Royale. The added bonus is that the Jamica bus stop is usually the first stop so you are almost assured a seat.

I agree with cslittle999. Jamaica is very nice. We stayed there both times we went and we just love it. We were in 4422 the first time and we had a nice view of the pool and 4407 the second time and had a great view of the courtyard/garden. It is usually quiet there as well. Have fun!

I stayed in Aruba bldg 51 and used the Jamaica bus stop as it was closer to my room. When I made my reservation I requested Aruba, and it was on my confirmation.

We just got back from CBR and we loved our location in Jamaica room 4423. I originally requested a water view in Martinique but when I arrived was told that they were booked there and that Jamaica would be available. We had a view of the pool (which was nice). In my opinion any water view room is a waste of money because without a balcony I never really looked out of my room anyway!!!!!!! We liked taking the walk accross the bridge to Old Port Royal which only took minutes. It only took a few minutes to get to the bus stop as well (there was always a seat on the bus!!!!!). I would stay in Jamaica again and you will really love the CBR; the pool is great and the rooms are really spacious!!!!! Have a great time.

If you aren't paying for a preferred location then I would suggest Jamaica.
