Best late summerday for crowds / value?

Hi. We will be spending one night on US property next summer. Our dates are July 22 to Aug 10. Any tips re a day or date which might mean lower crowds or good discount? Also is booking direct preferable? Thanks

Those dates are still pretty much peak summer season so I doubt you will find many discounts. Crowd levels don't usually decrease until mid-August as school approaches.

Midweek is usually less crowded than weekends although Sundays have been slow. Tuesday or Wednesday should be good.
