I do not know when fantasmic starts, or the fire works but I do know that 5 days I want to avoid these erea's like the plague. we will see these things the first night but really do not want the crowds or the hassles associated with it the rest of our stay. I know some say use the fast passes we collected thru out the day and thats what we plan to do. I figured on tomorrow land for the one night, getting fast passes to those rides ( still have to find out what rides there do have fast pass, ) and then the next night a different land. what do you all sugest and any help you can offer me would be wonderful. I have a scooter for serious health problems so me.... scooter..... and crowds will have to be avoided as much as possible.
Is it possible to go to the haunted mansion and pirates while fantasmic is going on? or are the crowds to hard to get thru, what if I go there early have a meal at cafe orleans just before fantasmic, can I then get close enough to these rides to enjoy them while the fantasmic and then fire works is going on? I really need help from you experts on this :)

How late is the cafe orleans open ?
what time do the fire works start.
what time does the first and second fantasmic start?
Is the second fantasmic less crowded and easier to maneuver?
what land is best to be in at night over all
what rides have fastpass?
thank you all from the bottome of my heart !

I haven't been there since 2005, but I've been reading a lot. :) Fantasmic is at 9:00 and 10:30. Fireworks are at 9:25.

I think a lot will depend on the days of your stay. For the last few days, the first Fantasmic has been filled up well before 9 PM (with reports of people waiting for a seat for many hours; I'd actually heard the whole seating area was full before 7 PM on Tuesday). On those days, the second showing was if anything more crowded, because a lot of the visitors wanted to see both fireworks and Fantasmic in one night.

If crowds during your stay are like they were Sunday - Tuesday, I don't think you would be able to do fireworks from the hub and Fantasmic in the same night, with a scooter.

But someone posted here that today (Wednesday) was better. :) The least expensive Southern California AP is now blocked out, with the second least expensive blocked out by the end of next week. So my best guess (and others' as well) is that crowds will be more manageable after that--at least, until the new dragon debuts. So if you're going in July you may be able to do both in one night.

I agree with your reasoning of wanting to get both out of the way. I personally am going to try it, but I'm not counting on doing both in one night, though--and I'll be with someone who can weave through crowds pretty easily (although my days are probably busier than yours). If I can't do it, then I'll just eat something on Monday night and hang out in New Orleans Square before the fireworks, then make my way over to the second showing of Fantasmic during them.

I have heard that it's possible to do Haunted Mansion and PotC during Fantasmic, but right afterwards both will be very crowded. If you really hate crowds I'm not so sure you'll want to be in the area at all. I think Tomorrowland is the only land that won't have much traffic during Fantasmic, but there's not much to do there either.

You'll have a great trip regardless! And I don't think the crowds will be too terrible at all while you're there...just saying that from the limited days we've seen so far, things have been pretty hectic.

The 2nd Fantasmic should be less crowded than the 1st, but the 2nd show has been full before, so it just depends on the crowds for the day. The crowds can be difficult during the night at New Orleans Square, but yes, the rides there should be easy to get on to. But you could also try using the DLR railroad to get to NOS instead of going through crowd control. There is also a section that is reserved for guests w/ scooters & wheelchairs on the right side of the river, but I don't know if you'd perfer sitting there or somewhere else for Fan!

Fastpass rides in DL: Indiana Jones, Splash Mt., Big Thunder Mt., Rodger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin, Space Mt., Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters

... and Autopia

You can ride Pirates and Mansion durinig Fantasmic with limited crowds, but you still have to get in and out of the area during the busy-ness of it all. Why even venture over that way during that time of night if you want nothing to do with it? If your goal is to avoid the crowds, I would stay completely away from Frontierland during Fantasmic.

You can have a meal at Cafe Orleans during Fantasmic, but again, if your goal is to avoid the crowds from the show, why eat there at that time? It will be busy.

You can avoid crowds and ride HM/PoTC by taking the train from Main Street. It drops you off in the rear of New Orleans Square, where you can easily walk to HM absent crowds and walk through the New Orleans side-streets to get to PoTC without crowds.

I didn't suggest this because I am not sure they can take the scooter on the train. :confused3

Disneyland.com says that guests must be able to walk stairs in order to board the Main Street station, which makes me think ECVs cannot go on the Railroad at this stop. OP, you may want to call DL to check this or I am sure someone here knows and will verify one way or the other.

What attractions(if any) are shutdown during Fantasmic and the Fireworks?

Thanks!

Thank you for the great answers, and your right, do not go to the erea's that will be packed with crowds. I think one night we will do tomorrowland ( is that a good land to be in during fireworks and fantasmic? ) and one night in fantasyland ( can we stay there during fire works? )

and the rest of the nights around 8:00 we will head over to DCA for a few rides ( with fast passes ) then head on home, or head to down town disney at 8:00 and have dinner.

Does anyone know how later the resturants in down town disney stay open? can we get reservations to jazz kitchen and ESPN zone after 8:00 PM ?

I, too, would like to know if any lands are closed during the new fireworks show. I believe FL was closed down before and it was very hard to get around.

So fantasy land is a no go either? Im thinking we are better off to do all the lands during the day we can get in, and only do tomorrow land during fireworks, then head up to fantasyland for late night fun ( if this old gal can take more hours :lmao: you know kids will want to play, but I will be ready for bed at 9:00 :lmao:
Hit fantasy land first thing in the morning, Collect fast passes thru out the day, head over to DCA and see the shows, then back to Disneyland to ride the rides we have fast passes for. ( except the tomorrow land rides which we will use during the fireworks. ) head to our motel for swimming and a nap, head back into the parks around 6:00 for dinner at Cafe Orleans and then hit tomorrowland around 8:00 and ride the rides there with the fast passes we collected. see inoventions, honey I shrunk the audience . that should be a good 2 hours there :)
have a snack and head out of the parks about a half hour after the fire works are done.
Tell me, if I collect fast passes in DCA are they hooked to disneyland and there for I can nto get any in Disneyland? or are these considered 2 parks and ok to get fast passes at both parks with out hassles?

Riverbelle terrace, is this close to fantasmic and how late can we eat there ? ( would be nice to have a meal while watching fantasmic.

No. Unless there are strong winds, only the front section of Fantasyland that has the Classic attractions closes.

Innoventions closes most nights at 9pm. You cannot enter the building after 8:20pm. If your group enjoys technology, you will want a lot of time in there. If not, a quick walk through is sufficient. Also, one of the coolest things inside there is a robot stage show that shows once an hour until 6pm. If this is something that will interest your group, you will need to adjust this. Just FYI.

On the last car where guests can sit, I've seen an area where guests in wheelchairs who can't get out, can be rolled in & stay in their wheelchair. I don't know if all of the trains have it, but it's there.

I'm really don't understand the 1st part, but I hope I can answer something. You can get FPs for both parks, as long as the times on it don't conflict w/ each other. If a FP for Soarin' says 1:30, you can't get a FP @ DL for 1:30.

Riverbelle is close to where Fan! is, but you are a little farther away & there are still ppl walking through as well as standing watching the show. I personally haven't seen the show there, but the restaurant is located at the right side of the river & on the same side is the area where they rope it off to guests w/ wheelchairs & scooters which is right by the river.
