I've spent ages finding the perfect deal and went to book online direct with DLP and every date in January is coming up as having no transportation available! Is this anyone else's experience?

I'm online at the moment, trying to find affordable flights from Birmingham but I've never booked a holiday with separate flights before as I'm a 'package' girl at heart. Has anyone ever flown with Flybe before?

I might have to sacrifice Half board plus to be able to afford to go.

Oh dear, it's almost 2 in the morning and I have to be up at 7. Sigh. Any advice or sympathy will be most welcome.

Juliette:sad:

You don't say where you are, but I assume that since you say you are looking at flights from Birmingham, that you are in the Midlands somewhere?

Have you looked at skyscanner.net? I just had a quick look and it's saying flights in January from Birmingham start from £30 each way. Bristol seems slightly cheaper, how far are you from there?

Also, how easy would it be for you to get to London and take the Eurostar? I ask because this would save you having to transfer at the Paris end, we've found it can work out at the same price, but much more convenient.

Regarding half board plus, what would you eat if you didn't have this? It may work out more expensive in the long run, if you have to start paying out for meals once you get there, particularly with the exchange rate the way it is.

Hope you manage to sort things out :goodvibes

Thanks for that! I phoned DLP direct and managed to book my original package.:woohoo: Don't know why the online booking system said that transportation was unavailable but I have got a booking ref and the confirmation email is on its way. I must have asked the poor woman a hundred times if she was sure I had actually booked.:cheer2:

I am so thrilled, I almost cried.

Hi Juliette :wave2:

I too always assumed I was 'package' girl until I went to DLRP. We decided to be brave (and save money :thumbsup2 ) by booking the accomodation with a company called Iglu, the flights with Easyjet and the transfer with RS/BS Transports.

Much to our surprise it was easy and everything ran according to plan - so much so that we have booked in the exact same way for our next trip :cool1:

We also booked the half board option on both occasions and would strongly recommend it as I am not sure that it will not save you any money going without it.

Hope this helps and if we can do it, anyone can ;) .

I have written all those details down for our next trip. I just don't like the responsibility of covering everything. With a package, everything is taken care of - but I suppose that's what you pay the higher price for!lol. Anyway, I booked with Dlrp direct and got a good deal with flights, rooms and half board plus. The trouble is that now I've read a post that says someone did that and didn't receive confirmation, only to find out no booking had been made!!! I'm a 'glass half empty' sort of gal, aren't I? I will now proceed to worry until I get confirmation...

Woo HOO, I'm off to Disney!

Oh well done! I'm a package girl at heart too and this year I almost cried aswell cause its the cheapest its ever been for the same amount of days and I upgraded to Cheyenne and it still came in under what we have been before!:thumbsup2 If I hadn't done a package I would have saved £70 going with easy jet so thats not bad...I'd rather spend the £70 having it all in a oner!!!:confused3

Glad you got it all sorted! The advantage with booking over the phone is you don't have to pay the full amount up front, just 10% of the balance! ;)

Thanks! I haven't stopped smiling all day despite having 4 hours sleep last night. Don't know how I'll keep it from the children - thank goodness for this forum. It's such a relief to know that I'm not the only adult who loves the whole Disney experience. So many of my friends say they would never take their children as they hate the commercialism/theme park/ merchandise blah blah blah. I don't understand them!?

We'll be sending the boys round to your friends for some Disneyfication :rotfl2: ;)

:rotfl: They really need it! How can you have children and not believe in a little bit of magic? I try to Disneyfy them, but to no avail.
