Please share with me your favorite italian restaurant in WDW. We'd like italian at least once while we're there & I'd love your opinions. Thanks so much!!

Well, it's in DTD, I love Portobello's! The pastas are delicious! My son loves the spinach raviolies, I've gotten Chicken Farfalle in cream sauce w/ asparagus, the Penne w/ Bolognese sauce. The sides are fantastic, the roasted mushrooms I order every time!

Via Napoli, but I've never been to Il Munio or Portabella so don't have those to compare it to.

Il Mulino. It's also our go-to place for a romantic dinner outside of V&A.

Does Mr. French approve of you eating such rich foods???

:lmao::lmao:;)

(sorry, couldn't help myself)

Il Mulino is likely the best. It is not in a park (it is in the Swan resort, which is not a Disney resort although it is on Disney property) and does not accept the dining plan. Of the Disney ones, Via Napoli, and I've never ordered anything there but pizza.

Love it! "Most" are too young to get it!

I must admit I've never tried Il Mulano, sounds like something to checkout in Aug. Lately I'm stuck on Todd English Blue Zoo!

Il Mulino is far better than any other Italian restaurant at WDW. It is as good as any Italian restaurant I have been to in my home town of Chicago. If you are looking for spaghetti and gravy, this is not the place for you. The menu is upsale and eclectic. I had a great sea bass over orzo in a white wine sauce. DH had an awesome linguini frutti di mare. The wine list is good as well. The free amuse busche was awesome and the limoncello was some of the best I have had.

I saw several people with appetizers in the bar area, and one person at the bar itself with an entree.

Your Mama might make better Italian at home, but this is definately the best you will get at WDW.

In my opinion Portobello's is the best hands down. Half of my family is Sicilian and I grew up with authentic Italian food made by people who immigrated here from there so take that for what it's worth.

I agree, Portobello's is also my favorite. And while I may be Irish, I was raised by a step-father who's family was from Sicily and also immigrated to the States. We use to make our monthly trip to Murray Hill for years to visit friends of the family who owned a restaurant there.
