We usually go to the Wispering Canyon once for the kids but I am wanting something else this year. Any suggestions on a fun resturant with a somewhat similar interaction for kids? Not a character meal preferably.

The three that come to mind are
Ohana- smaller scale on the interaction though.
50's prime time- can be huge interaction if you get a good CM.
Sci- Fi - my kids favorite (we ate there twice last trip and they all picked it as the one they want to go back to this time too)

I agree with 50's Prime Time Cafe. It can be pretty interactive and has good "home cooking." Kids usually like that. Have you tried some of the character meals, like Chef Mickey's? Another one that my girls loved when they were young was the Biergarten in EPCOT.

I agree I really like Primetime. Iw as just hoping there was something else out there they can get up and move for like Wispering Canyon.

As far as character meals do any of them have the Peter Pan characters? If not what are my options? I have never done a character breakfast.:confused3

Does anybody know if there is a hot dog stand around World Showcase? Best hot dog ever had.
Also anybody seen a cart that sold frozen cheescake on a stick?

Well, they can definitely get up and move around at the Biergarten. They have a dance floor and encourage people to get out there and move around. Kids usually love doing the chicken dance.

Another vote for Sci-Fi or Ohana. We had breakfast at Ohana and the kids really enjoyed the meal and atmosphere as well as the character interaction (I know, you said no characters, but really, it was a fun place). And Sci-Fi is on our list of favorites (along with The Plaza, LeCellier, and Chefs de France).

Where is Biergarten located?

'Ohana at dinner. There are not characters, but there are games and activities. Plus, the atmosphere is very Disney.

I would say Ohana, Hoop De Doo show, also the Mickeys Backyard BBQ I herd is a hoot ( I have never been there though).

I would give another vote to 50's PTC. The food is great, and I'm sure the kids would love it if you got fussed at by "Mom" for not eating all of your veggies!

If you are going to downtown disney my vote is for Rainforest Cafe. Although opinions differ I like the food there. It's not really a get up and move around place but with all the stuff to look at, and the thunderstorm, it keeps the kids entertained.
