Best ice cream in the park

In DL Gibson Girl on Man Street and in DCA Ghirradelli!!

Ghiradhelli in DCA! So many good flavor combinations but I can't get past a shared banana split! Or the standard Mickey Premium Bar or Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich in carts everywhere!

Ghirardelli uses "Dreyer's" (which has gone downhill the past 10+ years or so, since Nestle bought them out). Check out the ingredients.....cream should always be first!

wow. I thought only gibson girl used Dreyer's! I have avoided them specifically cause they use Dreyer's. Dreyer's isn't horrible imo but I always wished Disney had their own brand of ice cream used in the parks. I can get Dreyer's in the supermarket. Well, I'll have to do some research on Ghiradelli's cause I was under the impression it was their own brand, hmm. Their sundaes do look delicious, will have to try them regardless lol Wonder if it's a premium Dreyer's they use?

Clarabelle's in DCA is fun to create your own ice cream bar. Gibson Girl is great for the portions!

I did a search and all I can see is them using their own brand. I didn't see anything about using any other brand. :confused3

I am pretty picky about my ice cream but the mint chocolate chip sundae at the Golden Horseshoe was freakin amazing

DD and I prefer Haagen Dazs in Downtown Disney. They have the best peanut butter chocolate ice cream. In the parks, Mickey bars all the way.

I have to go with the soft serve too!

Only one word needed, Ghirardelli.

Ghirardelli doesn't actually make ice cream though. I thought it was Dreyer's.

Milk is always the first ingredient unless you're talking a super-heavy ice cream like Ben & Jerry's. I don't think Dreyer's has gone downhill at all. At least they're not like Breyer's (Unilever) that's increasingly making stuff [edit] that can't even be called "ice cream" by law. I am kind of ticked off at how Nestle has altered the standard size from a half gallon, then to 1.75 quarts, and now 1.5 quarts. Then many of the other retailers followed by downsizing.

So I did a basic search :surfweb: and I guess Ghirardelli's does have Dreyer's make a blend for them, interesting.
I see others mentioning soft serve, so I'll have to try CozyCones.
I also agree Dreyer's is definitely better than Breyer's, as Breyer's only has about 4-5 real ice cream flavors everything else is "frozen dairy dessert" :scratchin

I remember the time when Breyer's hadn't sold out, and they had over a decade of commercials mocking the ingredient labels on other ice cream containers.
