Best hotels for larger groups?

We are working on a trip in December. Last time we stayed at the HOJO. We are a family of 5 & they allow 5 guests per room. This trip it's quite possible that we will have 1-2 more people coming along. I'm trying to get the grandmas to join us :) I see that one of the HOJO rooms has 2 queen beds & a queen sleeper. That would be plenty for us, BUT it's too many people per guidelines. Is there an option any place for accomodating more people? Obviously we can get 2 rooms but was just wondering if there was any place for larger groups.

I see that Desert Inn offers a suite with 4 queen beds. Has ne1 stayed there? Is it decent?

I'm confused. On the Desert Inn site they show that they are a "Good Neighbor" & they also show "AAA" but there is no way to request seeing those rates. I just called the hotel to see what the AAA or AP discount is & was told that what I see online is the lowest rate available. He said that if I called to make a reservation & gave them the AP or AAA info that I'd be receiving the rate online. Is that right?????

Last Dec. my mom and Gma joined us for our trip. We just got 2 rooms at HoJos ~ each room had 2 Q's and they connected ~ the rooms were $59 each per night! Have you looked into the HoJo kid suites? 1 K (I wish it was 2 Qs) a bunk bed and a sofa sleeper ~ that might not work with Gmas though.
